Anyone that can help me with a Mi 11 ultra that's stuck on Miui 12.5 that doesn't wanna update
It downloads the file then after installing it says failed to install and wants to download again.
Phone works fine but would like to update it to Miui 13.

Tried a manual install? Check for the update file on https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/ and then download it and follow the instructions.

So wife's Redmi 9T started with apps crashing regularly yesterday. She decided to reboot and when it rebooted it just died and would not start up again at all.

Anybody experienced this before and know about a DIY fix? Or repair centre that will be able to get it running again?

Or worst case scenario at least get all the media transfered from it?

We took to it to our local Pakistani shop but he didn't look very confident and took a wild guess that it is software related and he will try and reload the software. But can't promise anything and was quite sure she would lose all media and data.

No it won't. You'll have to download the Chinese update ROM

As I said in my post (and also by @Magandroid), you must download your specific version.

Did a quick search, that is quite bizarre, RKAC seems to be last year and this years updates are SKAC, I've never seen anything like that before. Check the full list of updates at:

Yip thats the problem as mine is not on that list.

Try using the MIUI Updater off the Google play store. There is also the MIUI Downloader on the Google play store. You'll probably find your version there.

Looking at the list on XDA and I have a hunch the R code is MIUI12 and the S code is MIUI13, it changes between the last 12 file and the first 13 file.

This thread seems to support that idea as well.

Nice find. I just can't seem to get the Aramex Global Shopper UK address added to that site. Postal Code supplied by Aramex brings up the wrong town in the address form.

I haven't experienced any over heating problems yet. Battery life isn't too had, I can make it a day without charging, using the messaging apps quite a bit. Will give my opinion of it after about a week's usage though

I got a Redmi Note 10 Pro from Vodacom a couple of months ago. Came with a blocked off second sim slot on the tray, but it has 2 imei numbers.
I've ordered a dual sim tray and installed a custom Android 12 Rom, it shows as dual sim in the software. Still waiting for the sim tray to arrive though.

Did this method work?
