Has anyone bought off mistore.africa ?

Im looking to purchase a smart band 9, which mistore.africa is selling for R999. All local shops are still selling the Smart band 7 and 8.

I'd also like to know. Can anyone confirm that this is Xiaomi's new online shop in SA that replaced Mobile in Africa (MIA)?

Be careful. I remember when they closed the MIA site, it was stated that they would only sell through their physical stores and other electronics stores. I have not seen anything to say that they have gone back to direct online sales.

Found this: MiStore.Africa is operated by B2C Warehouse (PTY) Ltd.

That's not the official importers AFAIK.

Can anyone advise if the Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G have NFC?
The family got 3 Note 13 Pro 4G in December and they all have NFC.
One from Takealot and 2 from Amazon US.

So our house has now fully moved from Xiaomi handsets to Samsung.

2x A35 (R5k each)
1x A25 (R4k)
1x S23 Ultra (2023 contract)

Everyone's happy and regular software updates will be enjoyed for several years and as can be seen by the cash prices above, they weren't exactly more than buying new Xiaomi's. The Chinese bang for buck drawcard has definitely faded away.

Yeah saw that already by 2022 :( plus every release has been the same or actually lower specced

I'm seeing an obvious pattern here:

Xiaomi is no longer the darling plucky value brand.

i was seriously looking at Xiaomi despite all the doom and gloom comments you encounter here in this forum, but during Black Friday i got a good deal on the S24FE and that's way better than the note 13 pro+ 5g i was considering and it was also around R6k/R7k cheaper than the 14T pro that was just released at the same time plus the Sammie came with a set of buds 3 bundled with it - so it seriously seems like the only way Xiaomi retains the value aspect is if you self import

I purchased an Xiaomi Redmi 14C during the Black Friday week last year.

I did some research and for the R2499.00 price tag it seemed reasonable, especially with Andriod 14 on it and ample memory.

Also ensured that the specs indicted that it had NFC support.

But when I tried to setup my Google Wallet, to my disappointed it did not support NFC. I initially thought that is was just disabled but could not find any setting to enable it.

I eventually emailed Xiaomi support , just to receive a response that NFC support is regional based and that NFC is NOT supported in South Africa.

What a let down - will NEVER buy Xiaomi again.

Last year I bought a Redmi note 13 pro. It still has HyperOS 1.0.9.
It seems like most of the phones worldwide have already been upgraded to version 2.
Does anyone know when South African devices will be upgraded to HyperOS 2?
