The Official Xiaomi Thread

If you haven't already, signing up to Gearbest mailing list is highly recommended. Got a mailer today with a $150 black Note 4X 3GB/32GB offer that even has free express courier delivery included. Were it not for the A1, I would've grabbed one.

Can't share the deal as it is locked to my account.
Searching and choosing $200 deal shows sale $153 for a note 4X

I received my Redmi 4x on Friday. I have my CellC sim in slot one and my Telkom LTE in slot 2. The Telkom sim is not getting a signal. Should this work? Any settings I have to change?

Thanks

I think Telkom is using B40 can you link the device you bought, might not support it?

Hey all,

I've got the opportunity to order a Note 4, but it has the MediaTek processor; reviews seem to be mixed about this, so should I go for it, or wait to get my hands on one with the Snapdragon processor?

Thanks for your thoughts

To clarify, it's the Mediatek Deca-core 2.1 GHz

Had a MTK Note 4, nothing wrong with it in fact its more powerful than the SD variants so if you a gamer its a better phone. This power does come with a price. The battery does not last as long also you not going to see an upgrade to a new version of Android, well maybe not beyond 7.0 if you even get that. If that price is to high then I would say wait.

Also it's manufactured from a single block of Aluminium instead of SD versions metal back plate with 2 plastic caps at the each end.

A friend will be bringing it in from Dubai, so it should be around R2k, which is why I'm seriously tempted

I have one of those - Note 4 with MTK processor.....bought it last year. It's a very good phone...at the current price its an absolute bargain. It's very smooth, no hiccups, and very fast. Build quality is excellent - built from a solid block of alloy, no seams. Battery lasts a full day with no problems - I have around 60 % battery left by evening time, but then I'm not a heavy user. It's not my main phone any longer, since I recently bought it's bigger brother, the Mi Max 2 - not because there is anything wrong with the MTK Note 4, it's just that I prefer large > 6" phones.
