What is your MIUI version? Full numbers. Did you use the rom that came on the phone ?Something is a bit strange on my Mi 6. I bought this phone from Gearbest, came pre loaded with the play store.
Since this morning whenever I open yatse (kodi remote) I get a pop up saying I should download the amazon app to use yatse.
I mailed the yatse support and this is the response...
Hi,
Well you have something on your device that replaced Yatse with another version.
If you go to help / about you'll see Amazon and an old version number when you should see Playstore and 8.0.0
Usually aptoid or bad pirated stores does that
When I checked my yatse version it does not show Playstore and 8.0.0
What the hell is going on here and how do I fix this? I do not want a unofficial play store on my phone as this is how phone can become infected with malware etc
The app developer said he has received more mails regarding the same issue. Something is pushing bad apps. I am using the phone just as I received it.What is your MIUI version? Full numbers. Did you use the rom that came on the phone ?

Do you guys have an app called Apps? I noticed it this morning and it keeps telling me to update certain apps and I can update it faster through"Apps".
I did not install that and I can't uninstall it.
Yeah as AlphaJohn says. The version checks out, so doesnt look like a fake rom. Maybe download the recovery rom from MIUI and wipe and flash then you know it's a clean romFactory format it is
Translation: Not on the MI 5. Only apps I have is when I go to setup
That will be the Mi App store.Do you guys have an app called Apps? I noticed it this morning and it keeps telling me to update certain apps and I can update it faster through"Apps".

Why does it want to update my play store apps? That will be the Mi App store.
That's what app stores do update appsWhy does it want to update my play store apps?
That will be the Mi App store.
What theme are you using? Does it make all the apps black?I never seen that on either Note 4's or the Mi 5 I have now. So must be something new?
And all of them have Mi App updates is under Setup - System App Updater, and not an app on its own

Edit: I must admit I do a clean flash with MIUI ROM from the site before I even use my phone so that might be why I do not have it.
The Mi app store should have NOTHING to do with the apps downloaded from Play Store. That's what app stores do update appsMaybe it's pushing a beta update to a stable app etc. Turn off auto updates and just hide the notifications.
Mi max 2 and only changes system apps but most apps have dark look lately. What theme are you using? Does it make all the apps black?
Same as Aptoide, F-Droid, Amazon app store etc. They go with whats already installed on your phone and will check to see if there's an update. The Mi app store should have NOTHING to do with the apps downloaded from Play Store.
Ah ok I see thanks.Same as Aptoide, F-Droid, Amazon app store etc. They go with whats already installed on your phone and will check to see if there's an update.
