Fantastic! Also update it to the latest MIUI asap, you may be a few versions behind. Xiaomi sometimes adds some nice little features with their updates.

Is yours a dual SIM version?

Yebo yes. Physical hardware is all present.

Updated already done :cool:

And I found that they include the tools etc to unlock your phone if you want to run a custom ROM. :cool:

2Gb RAM and 32Gb storage is really good...
 
We recently imported a large shipment of MI 4X phones.
So impressed with these.
Excellent battery life.
Not one complaint from any of our users.
Screen and camera could have been better, but not for the price we pay.
This is not a flagship device and it is 1/10 of the price of a similar spec Samsung/LG
 
And what colour is the front? As in the bezels and all that.

Check under settings for Dual Apps, there you can specify which apps you want a second copy of

Yes - doesn't work 100% though - messaging is fine - but media sometimes goes missing. e.g. if you get a picture you won't be able to see/download it, happens randomly.

The notification light changes color when the phone is being charged.

It do feel a bit slippery when holding, but nothing major. Size just feels right, altho I need to tweak the keyboard settings a bit.

Will visit the china market for a nice and decent phone case. Got a screen protector anyway, learnt from my first devices, always get a screen protector on first!
 
Ah great, you got the one with the black bezel.

Not that there's anything wrong with the white bezel ones, but there is a noticeable black border around the screen on the white bezel models. The darkened bezel on yours helps mask it to an extent :)

Good thinking! Especially with lesser known phones where you may not be able to get it repaired as soon as with a more popular model/brand

How do you do it if you have WhatsApp installed already and linked to one SIM?

You have two sims? In settings there's a Dual Apps section - so you enable whatsapp there... it then creates two "installations". You get two different instances of the app - and can link one to each sim.

Settings > Dual apps. Turn on the option for WhatsApp. Open the dual app (has a yellow tag on the corner) and register your second SIM. Make sure you're on MIUI 8 otherwise the option won't be there
