For those who've used Gearbest and shipped with priority line, is it true that tracking info is only updated once the package arrives in the destination country (SA)?

I got a notification from Gearbest that my package shipped out, but the tracking info only shows the first entry which is 'record created'.

Ok so i been looking on Gearbest and i see they have a Mi 5x.. and an Mi A1.. i thought this was the same phone, specs look exact but price varies BEEEG time... can someone shed some light on this? also.. anyone got any reason for me NOT to buy the Mi A1?

The mi 5x is has exactly the same specs as the A1, but doesnt have pure android. It has MiUI, Huaweis android skin on it.

There is no Mi 5a (send a link?) only the redmi 5a, which is a more budget phone and has lower specs than the mi 5x and mi A1

Only reason not to buy the Mi A1 would be to wait for the Mi A2 or Redmi note 5 pro. But since xiaomi always release new phones, theres always going to be a new phone coming up

read my edit. I predict the Mi A2 to be a bit more expensive though. Theres a bump up in specs

It's up to you bud. Just be aware that Xiaomi release a new phone like every 6 months. So you not going I have their latest version for very long. But it's usually minor upgrades and they still have very good support for their old devices

coz im just thinking, besides the bigger screen, nothing else actually benefits me much more than the A1. i basically use my phone to play 8 ball pool now and then during the day and browse and mails bla bla..

i think 4GB RAM with 64GB ROM in the Mi A1 Should more than suffice for this right? what do you think? im honestly asking for your opinion here...

also, i read some places that after some upgrade, the Mi A1 was having fingerprint sensor issues, and battery drain so on.. Anyone here experienced this? plus i like how the red looks:whistle:

the global version should be as easy as using it out of the box right? no firmware upgrades or changes and so on?

Currently i have a S6.. you think the Mi A1 is an upgrade comparatively?

That was with the old update to Oreo. The phone gets updates very quickly cos of the stock android.

The phone will be more than enough to play 8 ball pool.

Is there any Xiaomi that has a great camera? Keen on the P20 Pro or Nokia 8 scirocco but if there a good xiaomi, then I would get that.

Most of the time it's the software that lets them down. I'm using a Nokia 8 at the moment and I can see there is an inkling of a good camera there but the software just cannot get it out. Same as most Xiaomi's I've used.
