I'd be keen to hear your experiences with the Mediatek Helio A22 chipset that it has. I had a Mediatek chipset on my old Redmi Note 2 and I was not impressed with it at all due to the battery life being non-existent. Hopefully the new SoC's have addressed this issue.

Yeah Moto stuck their fast charging 25W standard on mine so the charging is fairly good

Nope - Probably got to do with the fact that they are Dual Sim.

I'm just a layman who doesn't the pro's of each mobile chip but so far so good. It gets me through the day while I listen to podcasts most of the time. Haven't been using it heavily, just YT and one puzzle game.

What annoys me is that you have to change your region to India to have the face unlock active and by doing that I'm getting calendar notices from their region and the notifications from the stock music app. I turned off the former but can't do anything about the latter.

Nope - Google removed it entirely from Android - the only way is to root.

How is root going to do it, you literally have to replace the phone app + kernel as the API's have been removed. So kinda like Flashing a "fixed" ROM.
