Anyone buy from aliexpress before?
came across this Redmi note 8 pro. are deals on it trustworthy or is it like buying from wish.com?
If it is trustworthy, is that the only costs or are there hidden charges like customs still to be added when it gets here?

Yes MIA is fine I used them many times they deliver quickly as well
Also at takealot slightly cheaper R 4,445

this one with a miband included still comes out cheaper than takealot. provided there arent any hidden costs for customs etc.

Still no update for my phone? (redmi 6 ) does it rollout later for SA?

My mi6 also received the OTA update the other day but I did not see it on the road map

I must say, i have seen some good review on this brand. May just have to get one on my next phone purchase

Has anyone else had problems when ordering from Miphones.co.za as I placed an order and the items received were not what was ordered and the screen protectors looked like they were used, I contacted them and was told new items had been delivered and now 6 weeks later still nothing, I have asked for a refund and am also getting the run around,
Just a quick heads up in case anyone else gets caught out

Could anyone tell me why my Note 7, that I got on Saturday, only updated to Miui 10.3.10?

How would the Redmi 8A compare to the older Note 4?

My Note 4 is no longer a "wireless" device and only works plugged in... thinking of just getting the Redmi 8A - I'm not a gamer, and don't take many photos.

I am experiencing issues with ghost touches on my Mi A2 lite that I bought from Gearbest. Did anyone else experience this? I think it is a hardware (screen) issue - what is the best way to get this fixed?

I owned the MiBand 2, and then the Miband 3. The MiBand 3 lasts me about 24 - 30 days on battery. I only used the MiBand 3 for about 2 months, and then upgraded to the Xiaomi AMAZFIT BIP - a much, much, much better device. Much more information and features.

What I like is the fact that the Amazfit is easier to read the sunnier it is outdoors (trans reflective screen)...and it's colour. I struggled reading the MiBand outdoors, almost impossible. And...the new Amazfit lasts over 30 days on a charge. I'm looking at my Amazfit now, it's on 77% remaining, and I charged it more than 3 weeks ago. My Amazfit is closer to 6 - 8 weeks on a charge.
How good is the GPS function to use with Strava for jogging and cycling?

I feel your pain mate, but have you tried GhostBusters....

REDMI Note 7 vs REDMI Note 8 - which to go for?
I was looking at getting the Note 7 and then the Note 8 was released and I am now sure what to go for. I am a general user : calls, whatsapp, GPS, browsing and some snaps. My current camera is cr&p so I might end up taking more if the camera is better.

Noticing my Redmi Note 5 battery doesn't last as long as it used to.

I was used to 8 to 10 screen-on-time but now I am lucky to get 5. I've also noticed that the Cell Standby battery usage has ramped up but unsure if it's related.

Accubattery Pro pegs the battery health at 80% still
