The Official Xiaomi Thread

They have tightened up the shipping of goods with batteries in them. AFAIK the only company still shipping phones is Aramex but they can take an age to deliver if you are not on top of them. I ordered from Sunsky in Hong Kong / China and wanted to delivery it through DHL but apparently DHL in HK refused to ship the phone. They put all packages through an x-ray and kick those packages with batteries out and return them to sender. The only way I found out was because Sunsky told me and arranged to ship with Aramex then refunded me the difference in shipping.
That's strange. I received a10 inch tablet from Bangood recently, including the battery. Delivery was under 2 weeks via Buffalo.

I think that bigger issue is that most phones are dispatched from Hong Kong and they are not shipping anything to SA from there.

Must be it. It made no sense when they told me but a few people I know said the same thing.

Is it just me or does this seem too good to be true? Mi 11 ultra. It seems to be the going price though since all the other offers are roughly in line. The only thing i see it might be is their specs say hd screen but gsmarena says it should be amoled.

Thats what i thought as well. Oh well, no biggy. I was actually looking at these two though when i saw that. X3 pro or the Realme. Leaning towards the x3 as i dont know realme. Though that amoled is mighty tempting

Realme is another brand of BBK Electronics, same as OPPO and OnePlus.
So pretty decent then from the reviews i have seen on both of those. Im torn between the 2. I want the amoled on the realme, but the ram and storage on the x3 is better. 2 days left on the sale so a bit more homework to do. Lets just hope stock will last till then.

Another thing to weigh up is the Realme is likely to be of better build quality than the Poco as well.

Well i cant say much on the Poco, but the build on my redmi note 8 pro was very solid(untill the car door incident). I was hoping i could save that one with replacement parts but it looks like the motherboard itself got damaged too and its not charging anymore. So new phone it is.

Would be hard to give up the Amoled display... since I got an amoled device I don't think I'll be able to go back to LCD again.
Not having that bright grey in your face is pretty great in darker situations.
