The lady or the airfryer or both?

In all seriousness, having a connected Airfryer myself, WTF is the point of having a 24 hour timer ? Who would leave food in there to only say start cooking in say 8 hours time. Food poisoning, etc would be a high risk .

It just doesn't make sense.

I like everything about my new Redmi Note 9T except the screen, it had these flashes since I got it a week ago. Software is on the latest version, I switched off all automatic screen controls, still there, tried switching on all automatic screen controls - still there. I hope the MIA store after sales server is good, thus far they only replied saying their technical department will look into it. That was yesterday.

@Rouxenator does the issue happen when you are in the Recovery or Fastboot modes as well? That is rotten luck. Hopefully they can sort you out in a jiffy.

Considering the forum topic i can guess the most votes but im stuck between the 3 and need a tiebreaker. Comparison. The 10s and 8 are newer. But the snapdragon on the 6t kicks the pants of the mediatek on the other 2. Same ram and memory (on the offers available). The newer 2 have better cameras and the10s the ip53 and obviously newer OS.

I have not tried it yet, seems to be related to power draw, more visible when the battery is full. I drained it just now, will charge it up and see what the screen does in recovery and fastboot menus.

Ya'll make me want to trade my N8P and purchase the N10P even though budget doesn't allow :(

Found it - did not do the same in recovery or fastboot mode. I did reset the phone a few times, however when I went with a clean (no restore / account) it worked fine.

Eventually after multiple resets and selective restore options I found I had to switch off "Setting / Wifi Passwords" from my old Mi A2 Lite backup.

So something in the display setting of the A2 Lite has a value that causes the 9T Note to freak out. Pity I lost all those wifi passwords but at least the phone works now.

A small price to pay for a decent display, I suppose. Glad you got it sorted, in the end.

I bought the Redmi 9T (not the Note) for my fiancé a few weeks ago and she's super happy with it. It took some getting used to the new UI, but she can now go multiple days without needing a charge as opposed to having a battery that's at 30% by the time she gets home each afternoon.

I was considering the 9T and what I really like about it is the battery and the ultrawide camera. But in the end the Note won me over with it's more advanced processor, 4K video and 60fps FHD video and Gorilla Glass 5. None of these really matter to me as I use a screen protector, was used to a slow phone and hardly ever take videos.

What irks me a little bit is I just missed the Winter in July sale with a week, so I paid R400 more for my phone and the 9T can now be had for a mere R3k - very tempting.

Very pleased I get to keep this phone since it is excellent value for money. Switch to app drawer mode and stock Android notifications and it feels more or less like a normal (Android One) phone. Sure there are a lot of bloat but you can hide most of it.

I just wish they would make phones smaller. While tinkering with the Note 9T I used a J5 Prime as my main phone and the size is perfect.

The size creep is insane on phones these days.

My fiancé's 9T is noticeably larger than my Note 8. I can imagine that the Note 9 is even bigger still

This thread is awesome but I'm surely not the only one who's hesitant to post about their non Xiaomi but Chinese brand phone. Start a new thread you say, yeah but the reality is that it probably wouldn't get much traffic.

It would be nice if this was just the Chinese brand phone thread. I'd love to post about my Realme experience with my fellow Maoists.

So my mi 9T pro upgraded to android 11, Miui 12.5.1.
The problem is that I have a TP-link deco M5 mech system at home and I no longer get seamless handover when I move to different parts of the house.
I need to disconnect and recconect to wifi when I move to different parts of the house to connect to the closest mesh node. (the phone seems to stay connected to the first node)
Handover was working perfectly on android 10 , and it still works for the other android 10 phones in the house.

Looking on the net various onePlus users also experienced the same problems, with different mesh units after upgrading to android 11.
Has any else experienced this or found a solution?

You will most probably find that Andriod 11 don't release that AP, since it picks up enough power from that AP even though you are to a closer AP.

Might need to play with the M5 power output so that it changed to the next available AP.

Well looking into getting the 9T. Been a Samsung Note series boy for a while now, but really don't see the point in paying thousands of Rands for a phone where I don't use half of the features.

My only requirement is the size. I've got big hands and the Note series has always been perfect. So comparing the size, the 9T and my current Note 8 is the same size about.

I see Incredible Corruption has it for R 3699 (https://www.incredible.co.za/xiaomi-redmi-9t-128gb-carbon-gray) and Take A Lot for R4499 (https://www.takealot.com/xiaomi-redmi-note-9t-5g-128gb-nightfall-black/PLID72013250)

Was on sale for about R3 000 earlier this week on MIA for the 4g version - I see they are out of stock now. The 5G version from Takealot is considerably more - wonder if 5G is worth it at this point.

Correction: they still have stock in blue: https://mia.africa.com/product/redm...TVWuO9xmjoCmwMx9yrqnnvs6NN-MvJhBoCmdMQAvD_BwE

Thanks, I see the Incredible Corruption is also 4G as well, hence the price difference.

Unrelated, but where does the incredible corruption name come from? I've always heard it, but never knew why it is
