The Official Xiaomi Thread

All right, latest update on the Redmi Note 9S with the damaged fingerprint sensor: I sent an annoyed message to MIA and they just responded with a reseller collection form and told me to fill it out to arrange collection. None of my questions answered or anything, but that's fine I guess as long as they're willing do something. Making achingly slow progress, at least! I'm glad this is all happening after I already ordered a replacement part haha. At least they should replace it with a button that's the right colour.

As an aside, the phone really feels dangerous, tbh. It has to be charged so frequently and when it charges the whole thing gets hot. The battery drains when the phone is off even though the sensor doesn't feel warm. So for now I've gone back to using my old Galaxy Note 4 that struggles to charge due to a damaged micro usb port. But man, what a phone this was. This screen. I wanna get myself a phone with an AMOLED screen again.

They might do what they did with me in 2018 when I sent a Note 3 to get fixed, they contacted me and said they can't fix the Note 3 as there are no parts, so they offered a replacement with a small extra fee, it was an upgrade at least.

Sent in a mi8 almost at the end of the warranty period, they didnt have any spares to repair, so they a offered me mi note 10 less than half of the retail price at the time

Was the Note 10 an upgrade at least?

How are the buds 3 pro? I see Geewiz has them for R1095, and white only
I am enjoying them. I quite like the noise cancelling part and the ability to turn it 'off' to allow external sound through. The case is nice, the lid feels flimsy though but it is usb C charging.
An issue that I have picked up so far is that there is no app for the buds in the app store. I found a Xiaomi APK in Chinese which is apparently used to update the buds but haven't been able to use it successfully.

I paid R845 for the black one. Very reasonable.

What’s the current cheapest way to buy/import a poco f3?

I've been looking at the same device over the last 3 weeks or so. The shipping fees from China / Hong Kong are quite expensive ($42,11 with DHL, most ship with DHL only). Even Aliexpress shipping fees and times are strange. I almost bought from a Spanish site, but for some reason they were not accepting PayPal payments.
Amazon.de was also an option but most sellers were not shipping here and Amazon direct was quite expensive. I eventually bargain hunted on eBay and managed to find one last night. Just hope it comes, but if it don't , Paypal covers.
I would suggest you do the same: bargain hunt for a few days on eBay, pay with Paypal.

Would you mind sharing what seller you got yours from? Also, are you expecting it to arrive via sapo?

It was a private seller, not a store. I hunted and waited for a bargain. Not quite sure how it will be shipped. I provided my physical delivery address, if I don't receive within the stipulated time I will lodge a dispute with PayPal. I have lodged true disputes with PayPal and they've always refunded.

Out of interest, what did you pay?
