The Official Xiaomi Thread

can confirm the second sim slot is not open and the firmware does not support VOLTE calling, wifi calling and has second sim disabled.

it also does not auto update to the current version, I needed to unlock bootloader to get access to all these things
Are you sure the phone was supplied by Vodacom then? Volte and VoWiFi works on my cheap Redmi 9C. So either the phone was not supplied by Vodacom or Volte is not provisioned on your sim I would think.

Seems the Redmi Note 9 (Global) is currently receiving 12.5.
Hopefully the Note 9 Pro is not too far behind.

Global Note 9 Pro had 12.5.2 rolled out on the Xiaomi servers on the 4th of August, you should get an OTA in the near future.

I have my Note 10 Pro for about 2 months now.

Recently, when receiving calls, people can't hear me but I can hear them. Google directed me to similar cases since MIUI 12.5? Anyone else experienced something like this before?
Had to reboot phone for people to hear me.

So Takealot finally got back to me and said they're not going to help because the phone is out of warranty and I must contact the manufacturer directly.

Yeah, I'm sure Xiaomi in China is going to help me with this.

Going to e-mail MIA again since they told me to send the phone back to them through Takealot.

It blows my mind that Oppo, who has been around for much less time in South Africa, makes their repair policies extremely transparent and will taken in any Oppo phone regardless of where it was bought, regardless of the warranty status. Sure repairs won't be free outside of warranty. But still... What is Xiaomi's excuse?

I've ordered a replacement power button for myself (though not in the right colour because I went for the fancy green colour that doesn't seem to be stocked!). We'll see how it goes. Even if I get it working, I feel like I'll just go ahead and sell it because it's left such a bitter taste in my mouth.

@rpm based on above, can we have an article/report on local support for the "lesser known major brands"?

I have the note 10 pro from them with single sim. wiht a Vodacom sim those functions work, with an mtn sim the features go away.

when I unlocked bootloader and updated to a newer ROM suddenly I had those features on my MTN sim card.
Does the box of your Note 10 pro have a sticker with 1 or 2 imei?

Im trying to figure out if flashing a Vodacom device with the orginal Xiaomi software, enables dual sim functionality.

I have this weird issue with my Note 8 where the wifi keeps getting stuck on obtaining IP and the wifi signal strength is barely shown even when standing next to the router. It doesn't seem to update the signal strength of the wifi signal in any reliable fashion.

Any idea what the issue could be? (Running MIU 12.0.6)

Hi what could be the problem with receiving no whatsapp notifications on Note Pro 8. Its states no notifications allowed with this version of Android. Where would I go to check which software version I have on the phone or is it something else that needs updating?
