Some people may have noticed the 0.08 (QVGA 320x240) Time of Flight / Depth sensor and wonder if it is any good? Well I did some googling and it turns out low res is very good for that duty since I do not need a lot of pixel information and these cameras can be driven at some pretty high framerates which help improve accuracy. They are mostly used in the automotive industry for in-cab detection.

Actually very nice. The motor is very quiet, I barely hear it when I sleep.

You can also automate it depending on the temperature in your room.

It's a pity they don't do smart aircons, hopefully it's in the works.

The problem with fans is it doesn't get cool air into the room, it just blows the hot air around...

I'm off-grid so aircon it not really an option.

The fan is actually fine, if you leave the window open. It also keeps the mozies away.
