And idea how come some Xiaomi models with the SAME MIUI OS version can differ in functionality?

For example I went to a store and tried out a few and although running the same MIUi version, some had duals apps for say YouTube and Telegram

And some did NOT

I checked the detailed version and base something numbers and they were identical

Isn't dual apps a setting you have to enable in settings?

Honestly Xiaomi used to be value for money, but lately it's not really been the case.

hmm I think it depends on the model and where we are in the world, there is normally always a model that is pretty decent in terms of value for money. Got myself a redmi note 12 turbo 16gb 1TB spotting a SD7+G2 soc for 1999 RMB during the singles day special. Doubt I can get anything close to those specs at that price range, even in china, that price is very decent with those specs.

I asked them, as it was not listed anywhere with NFC as feature. negative. Only the 12 Pro Plus has in RSA (depends on region).
Phones very similar, have had Xiaomi for many years, but will pick the A34 above the 12 Pro, the NFC defnitely swings it.

My 12 Pro has it, bought from Smartphoneshop.

There's a YouTube tutorial on how to get dual app functionality on older Miui 14 versions....if you're on Miui 14.12 you should have it available natively in settings.

Huawei had this same problem ,probably just kak chinese software they store all the temp files and cache in an unknown place ,on some versions, try cleaning temp files etc out,EDIT look for an onboard app to clean it ,but be very wary of Xiaomi s apps they are very destructive and delete more than needed .
