The Oscar Pistorius Murder Trial

Maybe the defence is simply testing the waters to see if the State has anything new since the Botha Balls Up. They could also be testing an early insanity defence. Seeking to remove those bail conditions are not the sign of a rational, reasonable person.

I'm surprised he didn't finish it off with a request for a warm, folded towel and wrapped mint to be left on his pillow every morning.

If he is not happy with a bail conditions, they should keep him in jail till his appearance on june the 4th.

He is determined to lose the last bit of sympathy a few people may still have for him. Not that there is much left judging by this thread.

He wants his passport back because he won't run. He is not thinking about what he did, he wants a bail on his own terms.

I thought that he hired a PR team or a spin doctor. He might as well fire them now.

He is trying to chip away at guilt slowly.
I say no, you do the crime you do the time (he shot and killed someone in cold blood - murder)

He wants to convey the message that he's not guilty. If people see him travelling and drinking and going out and what not, they will subconsciously figure that he ain't guilty. Good strategy.

What's next. Is he going to ask for his 3 bullets back?

As time passes he is just turning back into his old self.

Pistorius is the biggest ass*ole out there.

How dare he!? Does he even care what he did?

Spoiled brat he is.

Oscar on verge of suicide - Friend

London - Oscar Pistorius is a broken man "on the verge of suicide" as he fights a charge of premeditated murder, a friend of the disgraced Paralympic star has said.

Pistorius stands accused of murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine's Day.

The 26-year-old South African, who has won six gold medals at the Paralympics, claims he shot her through a bathroom door thinking she was an intruder.

Speaking in the upcoming BBC3 documentary Oscar Pistorius: What Really Happened?, close friend Mike Azzie said the star was "a broken man" since the incident, and his state of mind has worsened since he was tasked with selling his racehorses to raise money to pay for his spiralling legal fees.

Azzie also said Pistorius, who is out on bail, regularly talks about Steenkamp as he awaits his next court appearance on 4 June.

"He just always seems to mention Reeva and to ask us to pray for her and her family," Azzie said.

"But most of all, you've got to understand that we are there for him and we will always be his friend.

"He has no confidence in his tone of voice and he is just a man that is almost like someone that is walking around in circles and doesn't know where he is going.

Plea bargain

"I would say that, just speaking to him, that he is a broken man and that I would go as far to say that he would be on the verge of suicide. It really worries me."

According to the documentary makers, Mentorn Media, police in Johannesburg said they have requested all records of phone calls and messages exchanged between Pistorius and Steenkamp on the day she was killed.

Officers added they were also sifting through a "massive" number of texts on Steenkamp's phone, producers said.

There are no plans for police to enter into a plea bargain with Pistorius's legal team for a lesser charge, the show's makers claimed.

The documentary, which airs on Monday, also shows Steenkamp's close friend Gina Myers taking the cameras into her bedroom as she recalls the last time they were together.

She said: "I was doing my hair and she was getting ready for a meeting and I was getting ready to go to work.

"And when she left she told me I was going to be awesome and that she loved me and then I ran out and then I gave her a hug and she left."

I'm not sure how I feel about this. I guess faced with going to prison in South Africa, the easy way out won't look so bad. Instant death or die slowly over 15 - 25 years.

A gun nut without common sense should be locked away as a danger to society. Oscar and Cheney.
