The Outer Worlds - Epic games exclusive

Yeah, it was short. Did you play it with the DLC? I liked the game, and it had typical Obsidian design, but I didn't like its art direction. In some areas it looked okay, but in other areas like a washed-out Borderlands. Though a new system can run this game without upscaling, this game was not respected by DXR and upscaling technologies. Shimmering, ghosting...

I hope not to see this in the second game.
No didn't play the DLC, I know it raised the level cap a bit. But when the DLC came out, the new consoles were releasing a month later. So my attention went there and I kind of forgot about going back to it...

I remember in 2019 installing it on the Xbox, as it was on Game Pass, played it for an hour or two and never played it again. Really weird how time just kinda flew by.
I only played after getting Gamepass to play Starfield

After that was a disappointment I tried this and got met with just another disappointment

All the greats from days past are just releasing games that are gradually worse than their previous titles it seems

Avowed sucks

I have no hope for Outer Worlds 2

Am I the only one who actually liked The Outer Worlds?? Never got around to the DLC but enjoyed the base game and looking forward to playing the second one on Game Pass!

The game wasn't bad. That said, even the Spacer's Choice Edition still has its quest bugs. Why that hasn't been resolved, I don't know. Quest triggers can be reset via console commands, but it can break the game in places, depending on progress.

My only gripe with the game was the graphics, but otherwise it is what is to be expected when made by Obsidian. I haven't played Avowed, so I can't compare.

I originally played on Steam but now have the Spacer's Choice Edition on Epic, maybe should replay and try the DLC before 2 comes out. I didn't encounter any game-breaking quest bugs in my original playthrough.

I was also enjoying Avowed until I got distracted by Oblivion Remastered but am planning to get back to it.
