XBOX GamePass for PC has it for "free" as well...so i set it to download from there this morning...its around 37.3Gbs to download.

Don't like the way they do business and frankly, don't want to support developers who support it. (exception of course being companies who launch their own games on their own platform exclusively like Ubisoft and EA for example.)

Just one month to go for RDR2 PC and I will forget that this game even exists anyway.

But its not exclusive is it? You can get it from the Microsoft store

I stand by it though. I don't support the practice, even though currently I'm just spiting myself.
Same as why I don't pre-order, buy into 'collectors', 'Gold' or 'ultimate' editions of the same game.
I never spend extra money on a game I already paid for (DLC excluded)
I also do not buy 'live service' games like Anthem, Fallout 76 etc

I feel that if you support scummy business practices you just give them incentive to keep doing it or give them reason to get even worse. Like Fallout 76 just keeps on getting worse, yet people keep on giving them money supporting their greedy practices.

That is like suggesting to avoid games like The Division 2 which is a superb title. Nobody knew how Fallout 76 would have turned out, but ZeniMax is clearly hellbent on milking their small player base dry at Bethesda's expense. Like The Outer Worlds, people will run with their pants down to buy Starfield. Yes, Starfield isn't a live service title, but it is a game from a company 'everyone' now loves to hate.

Anthem should have been cancelled and it may very well spell an end to BioWare if the Dragon Age doesn't succeed.

Then there are games like Star Citizen which have been immensely supported by the public, and even though it is still an heavy alpha you will get your arse handed by their rather large and vocal loyal community.

Not all of the same things are treated the same.

Which is why I take a wait and see approach.
Can't remember the last time I bought a game at launch.
The industry is a crap storm at the moment.

Somebody needs to be the early adopter. It isn’t like reviewers have always been honest in their reviews either.

Lately, publishers have been recruiting game ambassadors on Twitch, Mixer, etc.

Played a few hours today via Xbox PC Game Pass. What an awesome game!
 
This game is already cracked, going to DL it, if i like it i'll buy it when it comes out on steam next year.

Why not just pay R69 for a month of Xbox PC Game Pass and play right now? The game is basically bug-free. If you haven't signed up for the service before then the first month is only R15.90.

I've already got a backlog of games to play from here to Timbuktu. There's no compelling reason to play new releases the day they drop.
 
So is this game fully open world? And if so how big is the map compared to other games?

There are multiple planets, space stations, moons etc. and each one has a good-sized open world. It's basically an open-world game, but with individual areas rather than a single one. The environments aren't meant to be aimlessly explored, which is the biggest difference.
