Going to buy a cheap windows key on carb any real difference between home and pro ?
 
Pc build is finally complete. When you I switch it on the motherboard flashes red but the screen is dead. I keep hitting delete top accessible the bios but nothing. Any suggestions? Not sure if if the keyboard is getting power as the caps and num lock lights don't work

You're not POSTing, so mashing DEL won't do anything. Start by reseating everything: GPU, RAM and CPU. Oh, and noob mistake I made once: make sure the CPU power is actually plugged in (mobo light indicates the 24-pin is plugged in - worth a look). Still not POSTing, try with only one stick of RAM (if you're even using 2 - you should anyway).

That might be the issue. Currently the mobo, gpu and sata is plugged in the PSU but not the cpu. I see there is an atx 12v 2x4 connector in the top let corner of the mobo I assume this is for the cpu power?
 
Hey guys will post pics tonight just need to finish installing all my software, last 2 questiosn

1. I have a Gigabyte B560M Aorus Pro AX with Wi-Fi mobo what software should I install, there is a rediculous amount on their website ?
2. My coolermaster Hyper 212's rgb is not working is this probably the 1 cable plugged into the incorrect port ?

I almost always let Windows update take care of all the drivers, less bloatware aswell.
 
You will probably have to install Gigabyte’s RGB software to make full use of it.

No worries, happens to all of us. Had a few customer systems I've had to troubleshoot in the past that weren't booting on site. Checked everything I could possibly think of - and then eventually noticed right at the end that the power cable was unplugged...

Had this exact same issue turned out to be my keyboard being seen as a boot device lol.

No idea, I'm definitely not a PC guru, so maybe my assumption is incorrect - When I finished my build completely I plugged everything in. Pressed the on button and everything lit up and fans started spinning but nothing was displayed on screen, it just sat there humming away and I couldn't understand at all why I wasn't seeing anything on my screen.

(If you have the time scroll back a few pages and laugh at my early morning panic begging for help.)

So after switching everything off I reseated the RAM and checked all my connections as per youtube advice and from guys on here. Upon closer inspection I could see the red "boot" led was constantly on the MoBo.

So after a bit more googling they suggested unplugging all peripherals and trying again and strue's Bob it booted first time no problem. So I don't know why that was happening but I have a feeling it has something to with my Razer mouse and keyboard combo. When you plug in the mouse or keyboard some Razer RGB software pops up that must be embedded into the keyboard and mouse? So that's why I think it was using getting confused by the Razer software? I could be totally wrong about why and how but that's what happened to me, and my assumption of what happened.

Thanks will only install the rgb software to check it out but will leave the rest and let windows do its work

Yes it happened with me too many years ago, keyboard seen as a malfunctioning boot device. And it wasn’t even one of these ARM/macro equipped modern keyboards just a simple Logitech with media keys lol. Still remember how much it stressed me out. Grrr.
