Wootware's prices vat inc? If so, that's damn impressive! Gonna call em now! Thanks for the tip. Anyone you recommend I speak to?

Yes, VAT inclusive.

I deal with whoever answers...they're a good bunch of peeps (think I got Chris last time I bought something).

Your budget will dictate the case. CM Storm Trooper is sexy, but expensive.

Cases are a personal thing, To me that case is fsking ugly, I prefer clean, elegant, simple designs. The very same company makes this case for example,

Please help,
Is it worth buying the 4th Gen i7 4790/k CPU with an entry level GPU ? the Intel CPU is Its damn expensive, I need a PC that has good performance when using Blender Cycles/Render, It doesnt have to be Excellent, currently I'm making use of an HP8440p that has a 2000 score on passmark vs 10k score for the 4790k and the HP laptop is just not working out it takes about 2 hours to render 4 second videos with high quality and in full HD res (This is for personal use I'm looooong due for an upgrade,)

Is it better to sort of balance it by getting a Gen 5 i5 with a better NVidia card with cuda support, In the back of my mind the GPU will only be beneficial whwn navigating a 3D environment but net when rendering the video to files, but apparantly I'm wrong cus Nvidia's CUDA can aid the CPU, Not sure how effective it is at it.

Any advice ?

Carbonite:
Remember only get the k version if you gonna OC, and are willing to fork out at least R1400 for a motherboard.

http://carbonite.co.za/f39/intel-core-i7-4790-intel-core-i5-4590-processors-101382/

Here's someone that sells non k variant 4th generation tray cpus.
In other words you can buy an i7 for R2700 and just buy a cpu fan.

I decided to go for the GTX970 for one reason: VR headsets recommend it as the minimum. That made the extra R2000 easier to spend.

I never even though of this when I bought mine.

Just glad the R9 290 is also ready for Oculus :p

Afternoon brothers

My mobo went belly up. This means that I need a new mobo and cpu since it was an I5 760. I was planning to upgrade the GPU later this year but that will have to wait. Recommendations please? AMD vs Intel? Hold off for Skylake etc.

Don't want to go too overboard cost wise and I'd really prefer an atx board.

Thanks for you time.
