Luckily I've got an X570 board so I'll be fine.

Apparently Nvidia will be making some announcements in two days time? People are not sure if they will be announcing new enterprise GPUs (ie Tesla, Quadro) or consumer GPUs (RTX etc).

But I've seen some rumours about the performance of the new cards - apparently the new 3060 is only 5% slower than the current 2080Ti, and the 3080Ti is around 50% faster than the 2080Ti. So, a major performance bump.

If true I'd probably seriously consider a 3060, but I'd want to wait to see what AMD does with RDNA2.

It's been 2 years since the last refresh, would be nice if there is a 1660ti replacement thats in line with the old 2070. Cause 8k for a 2060 is expensive.

That's the other rumour about Ampere...price-performance is better than Turing.

We'll see.

If it renders 30% faster and the price goes up 25%, that's better price-performance :D

That would be very Nvidia but RDNA2 should keep things sane-ish.

My thinking is that if Nvidia will price the cards as follows:
Current price of 2060 Super = price of 3060
Current price of 2070 Super = price of 3070
Current price of 2080 Super = price of 3080

But we'll see. AMD is probably going to re-release the 5700XT as the 6700XT and then release new 6800XT or 6900XT cards.

Well it would be a slightly faster 5700XT as the 6700XT, just like the 480 to 580.

This was this morning. I ordered and paid on 1 May 2020.

Evetech winning again I see.

In other words, lets sit on your money for 12 days and only then will we ask our supplier for stock. Nice.

Get a refund, buy a 3300X, and wait for next gen Ryzen.

You dodged the 400-series EOL thing...nice.

Cancel everything and get a B550 when it comes out or X570 now.

Might be nice to have the option to use any CPU from Ryzen 3000-4000 in 3 years time.
