Anybody want to buy a 27” 165Hz HDR monitor?

Everything works but the screen?

It fell :(

Let's hope insurance sorts it, a replacement now is like R9,000 :(
Surely unless your screen has all risks cover they won't cover accidental damage like that?
Hope they do but probably not from my experience.

I've had insurance cover my TV that the maid knocked with a broom, I've also had them cover my on monitor that I knocked off.

And they were both covered under normal household cover policies not itemised under all risks or some other add-on?

Yup under normal house hold, all risk is normally for things that you carry out your house, laptop, phone or something like that.
Hell they even covered my son's phone that dropped at home.

Yes my brother bought the HOF just waiting for it to be delivered. Can't wait to see how it performs vs my 3080ti gamerock.
Tested 3080ti palit gaming pro vs hof. The hof eats it for breakfast, think gaming pro is power starved .

Profit?

The Takealot seller has to pay between 6 and 12% to Takealot on execution of a sale.

There are other reasons not to buy hardware from effectively a fourth or fifth party but the pricing bit is understandable looking at it from the seller's POV.

I would have thought that kind of accidental damage would only be covered by all risks cover, is that normal for a household policy?

I have a household policy with Santam, if I run past my laptop and trip over the charger pulling it off the table and it gets smashed on the floor will they cover the repair or replacement?

You'd have to check your policy, but I have household cover which covers all manner of things including broken monitors.
