Hey, I was just about to finalize my order for my PC today. However it looks as though the cooler just went out of stock. It was the Scythe Fuma 2.

The alternative wootware presented to me is this one:

I was just wondering what your opinion of it was for the Ryzen 5900X CPU (On a Aorus B550 motherboard) with a 6700XT if that matters.

Also I am just a bit paranoid about the meaning of liquid cooler. I was just wondering what the chances of it leaking and damaging other components are.

The first version of that cooler actually did leak sometimes...often enough that they released a V2 with redone seals.

That aside, the new version under-performs for a 240mm AIO from what I can see online - a couple degrees better than a Hyper 212 Black Edition under load which is poop for a product almost twice the price. So while your 5900x won't be testing the limits of the AIO (that CPU won't put out enough heat), I wouldn't get it cos' it sucks for the money.

Oh man that is rough!! Thanks for the heads up, I was just about to purchase.

I was wondering if you would recommend any other cooler then from wootware?
I am okay paying a bit more if I had to (for quality)

The expensive option I'd get would be the Phanteks Glacier 280mm...it's solid and a few hundred bucks cheaper atmo.

Budget option would be a Hyper 212 Black Edition. You could also add a second fan onto it - maybe check with Wootware if they have something suitable that can clip on.

Ok great, thank you. Just wondering, would wootware potentially cover costs if the liquid cooler does break and damage other components.

I know its really unlikely. But eish someone has got to be that unlikely guy who spent their life's savings on a PC only to have the cheapest component destroy everything

Look at RebelTech's Noctua range of air coolers. Pretty decently priced and you can find lots of reviews online for those

So they have recommended me 2 more cooler options. He said he checked with his tech department and these offer cover if the component fails and damages other components.
Which is great for peace of mind. Was wondering which of these you would reccomend (If you know anything about either... and I promise this will be my last question xD)

First things first, are you going to overclock to the moon and back?
Secondly why are you wanting water cooling?

Cause the only available air cooler is the hyper 212 and they did not recomend that. Im not gonna be overclocking.

Most other coolers mimic the hyper 212. Though there are some clones better and cheaper, could look at the GAMMAX 400

No idea, with the prices as they are. I've kept my good mid range one from 2019 still + my other entry to mid tier

Sorry, you're screwed.
Assuming you mean mid range prices, as in R5000 range? A GTX 1650. So pretty much the same price/performance as 4 years ago.
Willing to bump it up to R10k? Then you can get a GTX 1660
