These are goods they dont look pretty in a case, but they perform well. Your psu might start giving you issues under load

So my great luck, after replacing my board, cpu and cooler that I damaged 3 weeks ago, my 1070Ti decided to **** the bed last night.

So looking at replacing with a 3070.
Prices have gone way down, I see some for R10k, one out of stock at R9100.
Seems both Wootware and Evetech (for comparisons sake, I know we don't use that word here) are waiting on a new shipment.
Pre-orders for this Palit that apparently OC's very well to near 3070Ti level, but only arrives the 26th.

Do I wait it out or any other suggestions from you helpful folk?

Current specs: i5-12600KF, 16GB DDR4-3200, 550-watt Silver PSU.
Gonna possibly need a beefier power supply for a 3070, I know mine is a 3070ti, but on my system I can hit 490 easily and that's with a 65w 5600.

How beefy we talking? Would a 750w cut it? 1 nvme, 2 HDD, 3x120mm fans

Yeah a 750 would be fine, the price difference between 650 and 750 isn't that much to just go for a 750, I'm running an Antec Gold 750 from well actually the same Coolermaster you have now.

I’m concerned that the “KF” means he will try to overclock at some point, otherwise yes even 650w is a safe bet. Don’t know how much power that cpu draws when you OC.

Well it's claimed it does 125, add in the 220 of the GFX card and you're already on 345

Yeah I just checked, overclocking would double the power draw of the cpu, but then he’d still be fine at 550w even?

He can get the GPU now and upgrade the psu later?

You don't really want to push 470w on a 550w, considering I'm hitting 490w on my 5600, 32GB RAM and 3070ti

He's not overclocking as he said in another post.

<snip>

This was probably never actually available (an RTX 3080 for R13,2k) and it's Firstshop, not sure if they are dodge?

They are legit but seem to be prone to pricing mistakes, which results in your order getting cancelled.
Please provide us with the below full banking details as well as a recent bank letter and copy of ID (if personal)
Happened to me last year with the 5800X, they had a good special but a couple of days later received a notification that they cancelled my order and required the above docs to refund me.

My pc build was going to be done this week, but my Corsair iCUE NEXUS Companion was dead on arrival and I bought it from evetech :(

Indeed, so close to finishing!

The monitor should come this week, checkers monitor has been sold and LG 32 should go this week also.
oh no to the LG, what did you get to replace it? The LG 32 has been great for almost 3 years now.

Going one big Alienware 34 inch ultrwide was 8k from carb.

I am not allowed to use my home desktop for work at the new company, so 3 monitors is a bit of waste for gaming
