Side question:
Do you know if possible to pay Wootware with budget facility of your CC ?
I like to use this to get my credit score better, but I don't see any such option on their site, even at checkout
I'm curious how does that improve credit score?
Apologies for the potentially thread derailing question :whistling:

Because he will then have an active credit record. Only problem is the traditionally high credit card interest rates!

Using your credit card facilities (and then paying them off quicker) increases your score quite nicely.
The bank also increases your limis as a result.
I do not use my Cheque / Debit whatsoever - only CC for everything, and I pay the amount due + a little more each month

No need to use the budget facility. Just using the straight facility is enough.
A higher limit was also not necessary for me to get a good credit rating.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a chassis which will accommodate 4 or more 3.5" HDDs? My little HP microserver is getting a little long in the tooth so I am thinking of replacing it, but most desktop chassis that I can see don't have lots of space for storage. I'm not too keen to shell out server kind of money at the moment, would like to keep it as cheap as possible.

The Phanteks P400A supports 2 by default but has an optional bracket for an additional 2. You would need 2 additional brackets.

But the Credit car facility is already active. He just needs to make at least minimum payment on it if not in full. Budget doesn't change the fact. Not that I'm aware of anyway.

I just ordered a Gigabyte RTX 4090 Gaming OC specifically because I understand that Gigabyte seems to have the least coil whine of all the 4090s.
I should get it tomorrow.
Have the 4080 gaming oc and it's quiet, 4090 obviously a different beast.

Please let us know :)
As quiet as a church mouse!
Had to take off the side panel and get close to hear the fans while running a benchmark.
The heatsink is the size of my arm!
PC was a little dusty, so please excuse it.

4090 gpu and stock cooler what's the cpu?

AMD Ryzen 5 7600
Stock cooler keeps it cool enough during gaming and thats all this machine is for.
I might get one of the new iCue coolers but now that I have the 4090 I have to buy the ticket back to SA for Dec and the ring to ask the ultimate question (the answer to which is NOT 42).

Could be 42, 42 brides maids, 42 golden doves. 7600 nice cpu just odd seeing a stock with such a gpu.
Congrats for Dec

That's right, get your toys now before the next life stage, because once the wife is on the scene, it becomes harder to justify GPU purchases!
