That is defiantly the wrong price (hasn't been updated since before the floods) and it's out of stock :p

Damn it :(, guess I'll have to wait a while.....

If it is the right price and it's in stock you should keep it to yourself, more for you

I will, but of course I will let those interested know.......for a hefty charge that is

That 2500k at just under R1900 is miiiiiighty tempting! I suppose I'll still wait for Ivy before biting the bullet though.

Solid Computing and Rebeltech should have stock on Monday, why not check with them.

Wootware reckons they'll only be able to ship towards the end of next week. Anyway, I'll be doing my research over the course of the weekend and probably place an order for a 3570k.

Nice work PostmanPot :D
Moar pics please ( maybe in a new thread though so this one doesnt go off topic ) :p

So after abstaining from PC-related buys for a while, I thought it a good idea to get something up and running again. I have the following in mind:

CPU - AMD FX 8150 + CoolerMaster v10 cooling
MB - MSI 99FX-GD80
RAM - 16 GB Corsair DDR3 1600 (4 x 4GB)
GPU - GigaByte AMD HD6850 1GB GDDR5 256-bit
Case - CoolerMaster Elite 343 mATX Chassis
Power Supply - GigaByte 720w PS
HDD - Seagate Bara 2TB/64mb/SATA3

I'll be using it a lot for setting up virtualization labs for work, and then of course some gaming and some basic graphic design.

I know, I know...Intel, Intel...but I am partial to AMD, so....

Your thoughts?

Won't fit. Also make sure your mobo is mATX if you really want that case.

I would suggest something bigger like the CM Silencio 550 which should fit the V10 (and ATX mobos).

Are you sure you even need the V10? V8 is quite well priced and should be good enough? Even the CM Hyper 212 Evo at a further half the price of the V8?

PSU - nooit, I'd only go for Gigabyte Odin GT. Rather get a Corsair or Antec.

Building a pc for a mate of mine just need some input, with regards to choice and price.

90% gaming purpose, with 15k to spend

CPU: Core i5 3750K
GPU: GTX 680
Motherboard: MSI Z77A-GD65? or GIGABYTE Z77X-UD3H?
PSU: Corsair AX850?
Cooler: Corsair H100
Ram: Corsair 2x4GB later 4x4GB
Chassis: Cosair Graphite white 600Tz
HDD:1TB or 2TB depending on price

Before you ask where is the ssd I had it in the list at first, but it doesnt look like it can fit in the budget so will have to leave that out for now.

Will do a price check later tonight as well.

I might also be doing a similar pc for myself as well, though I have a AX750, would it be sufficient, I assume so as long as I don't go sli?

AX750 will SLI mid-top cards easily, perhaps even 2 x GTX680's, so no problems there. AX850 overkill for your mate's rig if running single graphics card.

I must say, I find the H100 a waste of cash. Plus it doesn't install well into the 600T as you have to mount the fans in the top removable cover/compartment, and not IN the case, meaning the fans are very noisy since there is restricted airflow. Also means you'll be pulling air in from the top. Oh, on top of that all, the pump itself is noisy.
