I have finally found the perfect case (*cross fingers*).....

It has insanely good cooling and I personally think it looks better than the Haf series or any of the other gaming cases. Although, it doesn't look better than Lian Li cases, but those cases can't really handle top of the range gaming pcs.

It also got a raving review (can only find one review) and it is very affordable (118 EUR which would approximate to about R1500).

What do you guys think of this case? Also, I sent a email to all the Aerocool distributors and still no word =/

Have you asked Esquire yet?

That is the first AeroCool case that I've seen that is both practical sound and good looking! Really nice find.
The only thing that I have against it is that it's a full ATX size case, and I prefer smaller ones. Then on the other hand, my CM 690 II Advanced is perhaps a tad too small for my current rig, seeing that there is about 1.5cm space between my 2nd GTX 460 and my power supply, which is less than the space between the 2 graphics cards.

I'm quite curious to see what it'll cost in SA.

looks like you will have to wait a while to get it in South Africa - from what I could quickly find on the net. In this thread http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?p=4643352 the first post that was made yesterday say it is available for Pre-order in Germany. And here that it will only be available at the end of the month http://www.pcgameshardware.de/aid,7...dator-Neue-Gehaeuse-fuer-Gamer/Gehaeuse/News/. And it normally take a while to get here after it has been released internationally plus it's near the end of the year. But overall it looks nice, just plastic looks a bit cheap

looks lame, get something elegant like a Lian-Li or Antec

I agree that Lian-li makes the best looking cases, and I have already mentioned that, but you are off the plot by saying Antec is elegant. I personally think Antec has the most gaudy looking cases.

On terms of release date, I was hoping it was sooner rather than later seeing that it is already available to purchase in Thailand.

I am in the market for a new case. I live in Thailand so the market isn't as varied as Europe or N. America. I went down to the local store and saw this case (The X-Predator) from aerocool.

meh, I prefer the HAF X with 5 huge, slower rotating 200mm fans, then one with plenty of small ones. I mean, it has like 4 only on the side panel, how much noise it that thing going to make on idle?

From the review, besides coming first in every cooling test, it was also the 5th quietest. It was basically had the same cooling capabilities as the Silverstone FT02 and was slightler quiter.

http://webcache.googleusercontent.c...edition-kasa-incelemesi/4/&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk Site doesn't load for some unkown reason so I had to load cache.

Seeing that it is very similar in terms of cooling and sound it produces to the Silverstone FT02, I read reviews on the Silverstone. The reviews comment on its excellent air cooling and also that it is reletively quite. Thus, from deduction, so is the AeroCool XPredator.

Unfortunately I couldn't find any reviews comparing the cooling and noise levels of the FT02 to the HAF X so I don't know how the XPredator stacks up.

Looks quite cool, I'm a fan of orange. Having said that though, I'm not the biggest aerocool case fan. Been there, done that. The Haf series is a hard case to like for what reason I'm not sure because I love them all. You either love a haf or hate a haf, I love the HAF-X, won't ever look back. Best decision ever upgrading from the 922

Donno if this is good news or bad news but Vision Technologies (one of AeroCools distributors) said they will only have stock in January =/

robdutchmonkey, I also like the look of the Haf X but the it is quite expensive, where as this should be like R300 cheaper +-.

Terumo, that case looks great but I want a case with USB 3.0, as soon that will be the norm.

HAF-X has front USB3 and normal USB 2.0. you can also change the usb3 with the included cable, and have 4 x USB 2.0
I payed around 2K for the HAF-X + extra MegaFlow 200 Red LED Silent Fan. I think it's a great price for what you get. Don't think I'll upgrade the case in less than 5 years at least

Keeper I completely agree, the HAF X is an excellent case and is good value for money. But from what it looks like, the AeroCool X-Predator could be even better value for money.

Nice find mate! Definitely gonna look into getting myself one when it's released in SA!

UPDATE
I have just got confirmation on the ETA of the X-Predator, it will only be available in the first week of January 2011.

Just get a desk with a big drawer

One of my friends built/ran his PC from his desk's drawer all 4 years that he was at University :D

I have a antic p150, very understated and not all up in your grill like 'gaming cases', Pfft marketing ploy/bad taste
