I agree with this 100% and actually did a presentation on this the other day saying the same thing.

First our country needs to make some monumental changes for this to be possible.

1. the price of broadband needs to drop significantly for this to become a reality. this could be possible with the implementation of broadband services by municipalities. i know some have already started providing services but the prices needs tobe dropped. Broadband should be provided as a basic service like water and electricity for this to be possible.

2. PC prices also need to drop significantly. Realistically most people out there cant afford a PC at home. Not much good having broadband access if you dont have a PC to use it with.

3. Government needs to stop there cr@p. if this is to become a reality government needs to take there hands out the cookie jar and stop interfering. All companies should be regulated but should not be government owned.


Just the above is some of the things which need to be changed. We are still light years away unfortunately for this to be a reality.
 
Broadband connectivity is viewed as the next great modern enabler.

Or in South Africa's case, the great present disabler...:mad:
