The Proteas - Our Team!

Seriously, is this a ICC sanctioned event or is it just a friendly off the record series? :D

I never worry too much about 20/20 cricket as there it is less and less the "best" team winning constantly :)

Mpofu to Ingram, OUT, another one bites the dust, Ingram goes down the ground, another slower ball, gets too much under it, goes high, and after dropping Ingram on zero, Sibanda makes no mistake this time

CA Ingram c Sibanda b Mpofu 48 (39b 5x4 2x6) SR: 123.07

Okay. I'm [-]choking[/-] clocking out of here. I'm not hanging around here to watch the Zimbabwe ruins.

Win some, you lose some :D

lol

why are we still persisting with guys like ontong and peterson?

peterson is such a meh cricketer. average batsman, below average slow bowler (you have to turn the ball to be a spinner).

parnell is also starting to annoy me. he's been poor for a while now.

dont get me started on albie morkel. can anyone remember the last time he played a matchwinning innings?

ontong has played very well in the domestics and deserves his call up.
Robbies I do not like all that much and parnell should go back to the drawing board.

ontong is a proven failure. he's 32 now and had plenty of opportunities to cement his place. he is never going to make the step up to international cricket. its time to move on.

Doesn't matter, there won't be space for most of these guys once AB, Kallis, du Plessis, Steyn and Morkel return to the team. I reckon let them play some international cricket while they have a chance.

Lol, so you would also not have given Mike hussey a chance?

An inform 32 year old is fine in my books any day.

ontong is no mike hussey

he's just not mentally strong enough imo. I dunno he just doesn't have it for international cricket.

can you really see him going on and averaging +50 in tests or odi's like hussey?

No but I can see him having a good 2-3 years in 20/20 and or ODI with the bat.

We won the toss and are batting first. Glad to see Parnell isn't playing :D

Haven't heard much about Chris Morris - any info on him? His stats suggest that he's a pretty competent all rounder.

FFS I could have sworn that Cricinfo had Parnell out, seems like they've changed it to Lopsy

Our batting line up looks a bit weaker today.

And Ingram just threw his wicket away yet again.

David Miller looks like he isn't doing too bad in the UK opening in the Friend's provident (or whatever it's called).
