We have too many bowlers. There's also Parnell. Only 3 of the pace bowlers can play in any one match. Personally, I would try out Philander for an extended run of about 10 matches to see how he does and play Dale in each match. The third bowler can be rotated.
It's our batsman that is a concern. I doubt their ability to post a good total or succeed in chasing down an imposing one...
So you would leave Morkel and Lobsy the two highest SA rated bowlers on the ICC ODI rankings? Or am I missing something?

The others will never make it to the rankings if they don't play. Using that logic we will always be using the same bowlers since new bowlers wont be on the rankings.
So Kallis is back in the ODI team from next month, fantastic news!!

Smith might be the one person I would change in your team. Also Philander could be dropped for Lobsy depending on how deep you want to bat and the fact that Parnell and Philander most likely will fight it out for a place, both being Bowling all rounders who can hold a bat.
Yes but Lobsy and Morkel have both been bowling really well. They are both in good form, if they were not I would agree that it was an easy choice to drop one of them, but as things are we are in a very fortunate position with our bowling player pool. Now the batting just needs to join the party.
SA INVITATION XI to play India in a warm up match: Stephen Cook (captain), Temba Bavuma, Andrew Birch, Simon Harmer, Beuran Hendricks, Reeza Hendricks, Eddie Leie, Chris Morris, Rilee Rossouw, Yaseen Vallie, Stiaan van Zyl, Dane Vilas, Hardus Viljoen.
I'm especially keen to see how these 3 do.

I want Morris back in the team.
Rilee and Beuran are the two I have been taking notice of. Rilee must be on the verge of breaking into the test team as soon as someone loses form or is injured amongst the batsmen.
I think Ingrim and Elgar are ahead in the batting stakes. As for the bowling, I think Beuran is going to be phenomenal but is he ahead of Abbot and De Lange?
and With Harmer, I think we need to develop a quality spinner and I hope he continues to progress.

Amla has been going through a rough patch since March 2013. Only 2 fifties in over 10 matches which has made his average drop from 58 to 52. However he:
- only needs to average 24 in his next 11 innings to equal Viv Richard's fastest to 4000 ODI runs record.
- only needs to average 34 in his next 37 innings to equal Viv Richard's and Kohli's fastest to 5000 ODI runs record.
Just shows how well he has played to get so far ahead during 2010 to 2012.

Elgar y but ingram no way. Ingram only averages 34 in first class cricket. Elgar averages 44.38 and Rillee 43.33. De kock is closer then ingram with a 55.70 average.
Ingram is a good odi player but average at best fc player.
