Nothing yet - I'm getting the SD cards today (the stock one is trash and was already corrupt - wouldn't boot).

I play to use one of the Tiny Best Sets as shown in the OP (has pretty much everything in one - and there's a few addon sets you can grab listed too etc).

I've got a ton of travelling to do (40+ hours of flights coming up) - so I'm looking to keep entertained!

id be interested to know how it actually does with the PS1 roms, the higher end games, pretty sure some people would invest in this JUST for those PS1 big hitters

Your limit is going to be the old GTA's (PSP iirc) (GTA III, VC, SA etc) or Crash Bandicoot's etc I think:

HW isn't going to push much more than that.

So first snag - the OP list of supported SD cards is indeed correct - my old Sandisk 512GB Extreme won't work in the SD2 slot (as ROM drive) but will work in the SD1 slot (as OS + ROM drive)...

So for now I'm just going to run a single SD card unit (2 is nicer, as you can upgrade the OS without rewriting your ROM drive in the process...) and grab a bigger 2nd ROM SD (Samsung Evo Plus works well here - I have 128GB but I need 256GB+ to really fit all the ROMS).

Otherwise it's relatively painless - dump the roms in their corresponding folders and they'll detect. The only issue I've had is duplicate entries (due to copying them over via macOS) and this can be fixed by:

"If you transferred over you games using MacOS, you may have a bunch of duplicated files in your ArkOS menus, with a “._” prefix. You can remove these by going to Options > Remove ._ Files."

Followed your lead @shadow_man . Was delivered on Friday but i wasn't in the office.
Will try and set this up during lunch today, but Monday's are usually manic lol.

Looking to play Pokemon Ultra Violet (GBA Leaf Red Mod) and "Pokemon Emerald Hoenn Dex Edition" for the first time, so exciting stuff xD
 
We just bought one of these for my wife, using the link from the OP. I noticed it's not the same trader as in the OP even though we used the link directly. Hoping it's the real deal. Just waiting for delivery now.

If all turns out well, mine will be had in the coming months.

That's some good advice. Probably cheaper too. I prefer the GBC style console, and having the ips display makes it crisp. Tbh i probably won't play psx / psp,n64, dream cast etc, it's mostly for nintendo games, I started with a teal GBC and pokemon crystal :Dnever got a GBA but man did i love Pokémon Emerald on VBA so excited for those rom hacks that add all the mons. I remember I used to use a tool on pc that could edit the roms themselves, adding all the starters as catchable in the starting town xD

My wife chose the purple one from this link. Literally clicked the link, choose purple, and add to basket, checkout. Seller listed as Solar Ocean where in the OP I believe it was Ikun trading or something.

Both are correct - the link is the one straight from my order page and the screenshot is from when I was going to add to cart.

It got shipped from IKUN TRADING.

(I suspect Takealot has just changed the seller on the page, or the seller has changed their name - not sure).

Either way you've got some tell tale signs to look out for if they send a fake/clone - and TL return policy is very good.

Think it should be fine. As OP mentioned it's probably the same company because it seems to chop and change depending when you buy it
