Brazil: Updated Renault Kwid spied undisguised ahead of launch - Team-BHP​

Renault is expected to introduce a heavily updated version of the Kwid in Brazil soon. It was recently spied completely undisguised, giving a sneak preview of all the changes made to the entry-level hatchback.

The new Renault Kwid gets a revised front fascia with a gloss black insert flanked by LED DRLs and turn signals and a redesigned two-tone front bumper, which houses the headlamps.

The rear fascia looks largely unchanged except for the clear-lens taillights and the two-tone bumper with a silver faux skid plate.

Inside, the new Kwid gets a digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system in the centre. This left-hand-drive version comes equipped with a new 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel as well.

While the new Kwid gets significant cosmetic updates, mechanically, the car is expected to remain unchanged.

Renault has revealed the Kwid facelift for the Brazilian market. The entry-level hatchback gets several cosmetic updates and new features and is offered in three variants: Evolution, Techno and Outsider.

The new Renault Kwid gets a revised front fascia with a gloss black insert flanked by a split headlamp setup. It gets slim LED DRLs and turn signals and a redesigned two-tone front bumper.

The rear fascia looks largely unchanged except for the clear-lens taillights and the two-tone bumper with a silver faux skid plate. The car rides on 14-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.

Inside, the new Kwid gets a redesigned dashboard with a dual-screen setup. It gets a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The centre console houses controls for the manual AC and other switches.

The updated Kwid comes with a new 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel, USB Type-C charging ports, electrically adjustable ORVMs, hill start assist, a rear-view camera, and TPMS.

In Brazil, the Kwid is powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder flex-fuel engine that produces 70 BHP and 98 Nm on ethanol and 67 BHP and 92 Nm on petrol. It is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
