If you play poor rugby and don't take your chances, you can't expect to win in a final.

The Stormers were only at full steam for about 10 minutes, I'd say. The rest of the time they were farting around. A deserved loss.

You're doing Munster a serious disservice here. They deprived the Stormers any ball and made them make tackle after tackle. No team can expect to sustain that kind of intensity. The Stormers were doing anything but farting around. I agree some of their decision making (not kicking for poles at the end of the first half springs to mind) left a lot to be desired.

I agree, that is true, Munster did bring it.

However, recklessness and poor decision making results in a lack of possession, then you'll be on the defensive the whole time, which was most of the game for the Stormers.

A few clinical and calm moments by the Stormers and I believe the scoreline would have been different.

True. Calm heads were called for, particularly in the Munster 22.

However, despite this, I believe the better team still won on the day in the end.

This. Munster played a brilliant game and showed why they made the final.

Let's not belittle their victory.

I'm actually quite glad that we have a new winner this year - hopefully another next year, otherwise the competition is boring.

This was lekker exciting.

Munster 5th on the table win 6 away games.

Definitely shows how strong they are. The SA teams struggled to get wins away from home but Munster even snatched the final in an away game.

Pity Stormers lost, Munster got their number, Stormers punted the ball away for no good reason many times (Looking at you Jantjies).

If only Stormers got a turnover at that ruck with the Munster 15 and scored, Stormers would've won.

But at least Stormers got 2nd in the URC. Not bad at all. Let's hope Stormers can keep it going next season.

Whimpering loss, Munster had the class and stormies had the clueless. Dreading the Springbok announcement if Libbok and the other muppet are in it

Munster deserved their win and could have won even further. They handled the pressure like pro's and starved the Stormers of possession and territory, especially in the 1st half. Their kicking was brilliant. Stormers did well to come back in the 2nd half but ran out of steam. Congrats Munster.

It's time World Rugby puts this twat in his place. He has a hell of a chip on his shoulder and has been getting away with all kinds of nonsense for way to long.

NEWS UPDATE: Ireland captain Johnny Sexton could miss a substantial portion of his country’s build-up to the World Cup.

The Irish media are reporting that Sexton and Leinster have been slapped with a misconduct letter by European Professional Club Rugby for his conduct towards match officials after the European Cup Final last month.

The London-based City AM publication first reported the news, which Irish outlets extra.ie, joe.ie, balls.ie and independent.ie also carrying the reports.

This follows the announcement by EPCR officials that they have launched an investigation into an alleged half-time tunnel bust-up during the Champions Cup Final between Leinster and La Rochelle in Dublin.

According to the Irish Independent, coaches and players from both teams were involved in the incident at half-time.

The report revealed that Leinster assistant coach Sean O’Brien and club captain Johnny Sexton were involved.

La Rochelle coach Ronan O’Gara and lock Will Skelton are believed to be the other participants.

The governing body released a short statement regarding the incident, saying: “EPCR is aware of reports of an incident at half-time during the Champions Cup Final and the tournament organiser will be investigating this as soon as practicable.

“We have no further comment at this time.”

Very strong squad, haven't picked it apart with a fine-tooth comb but no glaring omissions.

Elrigh louw perhaps a little unlucky, although he hasn't had a dominant season this year.

Also no Ruan Nortje is a little surprising but given the high quality of the Bok locks, maybe not, but he's 24 so still time.

Would also have liked Dayimani in the mix. Properly quick flank but possibly not physical enough for international rugby and he's competing for a place against some of the best loosies in world rugby.

Is Marcel Coetzee out of the mix now too? Bulls lack lustre pack this season is down to Marcel's influence IMHO. They really missing him.

I would have preferred Dan Du Plessies over Andre at 12, but very tight call that. In fact, Marius Louw must have been really close too. Would really like to see Damian Willemse start regularly at 12 though....

Haven't been at all impressed with Makazole this season. Been one belligerent performance after another. Edwill van Der Merwe must have been knocking on the door. Imagine a back 3 of Arendse, Kolbe and Van der Merwe? Good luck defending against that lot. Hell, I'd prefer Werner KOK to Mapimpi even though they opposite wings. Werner skill set is next level, as his commitment.

Wealth of talent in the 9 position. Ridiculous actually. Prefer Williams over Hendrikse, the latter just too slow and injury prone.

There a lot of guys knocking on the door, pity Fassi hasn't moved his game forward since last season. He has time though, only 25. Thaakir Abrahams is another I expect to see in Bok colours sooner than later, only 24.

Vin Tshituka's move to Sharks was a mistake IMHO. He was in the groove at the Lions, hasn't quite gelled in the Sharks backrow.
