If the all blacks win, perhaps savea might win it?
 
How did Jacques not win coach of the year? Hardest route ever to a RWC win and playing an extremely risky 7-1 bench in a final should've gotten him the nod?

One great thing listening to a lot of fan reactions were that most NZ fans albeit a little unhappy with a few of the refs decisions, accept the result and commend SA's performance to edge out the win on the day. Class.
 
Worst 40 minutes of rugby I've seen from the Stormers in a very long time. Don't know what their game plan is but it seems they don't either.
 
Was bad. At least they lost to a decent side. Glasgow only lost 1 game at home in the last 2 seasons.

Sharks equally bad but against ospreys.

Absolutely no chance for The Sharks. They went from bad to worse. 3 losses in a row thus far.

I thought they showed some good signs against Munster was it, first game of the season? They looked reasonably sharp for a first game of the season. Yesterday was just horrible though. Conditions might have payed a part but they've had 2 seasons to adapt and seem to be regressing. Was also hoping Plumtree would have had them better prepared.

Anyway, it's been a slow start for the SA franchises but it's a looooooong season.

As we've seen in the last 2 seasons, winning away from home is challenging...

So no mitigating circumstances for you. Just straight to they're kak. Am I understanding you right? Nevermind the fact that they have a new head coach who needs time. Or they are very much affected by internationals being away. Or their tournament started with a draw from a hell. None of these things matter. Win every match or you suck. Your standards, my God.

I'll cheer them on this season and wish them well since you don't seem to want to.

I didn't see the second half (called it a night as I had an early start) but credit to both teams (Sharks and Stormers) for keeping things close in the second 40. I read the write up on the Stormers game and they seemed to have territorial ascendancy in the second half, just couldn't convert. That will be a big concern going forward.

Sharks have got the rough end of the start of the draw but I have high hopes for them with Plum at the helm. He comes back to a very different team he left many years ago and I think in a season or two, they will be right up there. He just needs to be given time.

They played well against Munster like @sand_man said but lost but that looked promising. I was expecting them to win against Ospreys but they lost. To be honest the Welsh sides are the ones I expect our big teams to be able to secure wins against because other than those teams there are no other earier teams to win against.

The internationals missing doesn't hold water because none of the teams they played against has internationals in them also.
 
I mean look at Zebre. They are losing but they are finding something to get points at least. The Sharks. 3 games 3 losses and zero points. Even if they win a match next week they will still be below Zebre on the log. Losing bonus points are crucial if you play badly and not going to win the match.

It's early doors bruv... not need for panic just yet but I agree, Sharks looking very scratchy and Stormers last night made a heap of unforced errors.

Dweba and Evan getting yellow cards, not a great look. Both showing Rasnaber was right to leave them at home.

Joseph's lineout throwing continues to be an issue.

Evan carried hard and was busy but he's too easily taunted. He needs to learn to not take the bait. Also. hopefully he will learn some new skills, the days of running over defenders are gone. URC isn't Paarl Boys vs Paul Roos... need to find weak shoulders.

Sasha had a mare of note, might have actually been the difference on the night. And just as Bob Skinstad had talked him up in the pre-match commentary. Commentators curse.

But look, Glasgow have only lost to Munster, at home, in the last 2 URC seasons. They a proper side at home, very difficult to beat. They also had a handful of their internationals back.
 
I love the new coach story, really do.

When a new coach comes in, the players magically forget how the game is played, and the the new coach has to teach them from the ground up.

They players must play as they instructed to play, and if that is not within their ability they must fug off and play in their sand box at home.

They got a new coach because they could not play to the game plan of the previous coach, so what is going to magically change with the new coach - eish!
