Saw a video on social media of a U16 Waterkloof boy kicking a 55m penalty! And no, that wasn't a typo.

And then he landed a drop goal from inside his own half too.
 
So the Boks kick off their 2024 campaign on 22 June. As I refuse to get DSTV, the options are of course limited.
I am willing to pay to get decent access to the Bok games but it means going international. Does anybody know of any decent rugby streaming websites that will broadcast the Bok games? I know about Rugbypass, Peacock, ESPN, Stan, Fubo and Sky (very expensive). What I do not know is if they will show the Bok games.
I am not looking for an IPTV service as these tend to buffer. Can anyone help with info or other sites I have not mentioned? Would appreciate very much. Thanks in advance.
 
The Under 20 Rugby Championship kicks off today in Australia with the first match between NZ and SA starting at 9am. Live on SS201 and SS211.
 
13 all draw. Probably a fair reflection of an actually quite entertaining game in terrible underfoot conditions. Australia vs Argentina up next.
 
On another note, entirely left field.

I was going over statistical data of various national squads, winrates etc the 100+ year, pre and post professional era as well as last decade.

And honestly I'm quite lost. Where do all the stories/narratives we see in press, media actually come from? None of it is true and rather quite fictitious actually?

Like NZ dominating the Boks for 100+ years,
Aussies having better record than Boks and and and...

What gives?

For reference: (can google these stats, where even on wikipedia, gives you per match result all the way back to 1900.)

Up to 1992: ABs winrate against Boks was only 41%
1992 to 2018: ABs winrate was 70%
2018 to preset: ABs winrate is 45%

Except for their golden era during 80s/90s with Campese and the blip in 2000s, Aussies have always been somewhat of a bullied baby brother whipping boy for NZ. 177 Matches against ABs, meagre 25% winrate.

Aus don't even boast a net positive winrate over their 687 or something test match history.

The impact of isolation on the Boks, joining after rest of world started switch to professionalism, the impact of politics, both government as well as internal with SARU, its quite blatantly clear to see the impact pre-Rassie.

The last decade on international stage too is quite something. Everyone keeps bleating on about the last hundred years, as if what happened 50yrs ago is relevant to todays form and calibre of the teams.

Since 2012 or so to 2023... the shift in statistics of match results from what use to be prior, makes for some seriously interesting reading.

Ireland for example, over that period, have a positive win% against every other nation, including the ABs. That's a seizmic shift if ever saw one and just one example.
 
Wtf is our sevens tram doing. Penalty in extra time right in front of the posts and we take a scrum?

The ANC and modern South Africa really only count post 1994 results.

Every achievement before that is ignored. Whether on the sport field or not.

There does seem to be somewhat of a course correction happening but that is by coincidence and sone Rassie genius.

The man has done a lot for SA rugby. Fitting he got a Doc degree feom NWU.

Now we have Doc Craven and Doc Erasmus.

The more young black kids we have playing the game is dangerous for the rest of the world. We can tap into the majoeity of the nation's potential.

Rassie has been instrumental in getting that going with his clinics and results.

The best team to leave NZ is the 1937 Springboks. Still our only series win in NZ.

We were innovative even back then, changing the formation of the scrum.

We won our first international game when we played in green for the first time as well.

Our rugby has a rich history.

I really don't get the point raised about ANC and modern South Africa only interested about post 1994?

Not about ANC, but about the international rugby world, and how the story keeps going on how NZ have always dominated, for over 100 yrs, when not the facts at all.
