Harry Jones, the more I watch of this okie, the more I respect his analysis. He is an intellectual and a deep thinker, with a love for rugby and the Boks.. magnificent insights!!

I honestly believe if Rassie were to get hit by a bus tomorrow, the Boks would be back to 5th/6th in the world within 18 months... he's taken average players and turned them into rock stars...

Hoping the Cheetahs can pull off a small miracle against the Lions.
And Bulls win.

Really want to take all the kids to the final. But not going to Ellispark with the 4 of them. And at Loftus we have parking 500m away from the stadium at the In-Laws. So walk to and from the stadium and have a braai there.

I'm not sure about that tbh.

He has created a CULTURE...not rugby by numbers. He's also surrounded himself with young, clever people that I believe will be able to take the legacy forward.

But saying that I hope Rassie goois a Doc Craven and lives till a 100...

I suppose a lot would depend on who his successor was. He is very adept at getting into the players heads and motivating them by emotionally pushing the right buttons. I think he's got to know many of them intimately and I'm not sure a new coach would have that sort of rapport with the players. The Boks are still a side fueled by emotion.

The coach and captain made a point of playing to win back the freedom cup. The narrative was that 'we've seen pictures of it but have never actually touched it, cause it's lived it's life in NZ'. The goal was to get back that freedom cup. I almost believe if there was no trophy we would probably have drawn the series 1-1. But that's pure conjecture on my behalf...

You need to watch Harry Jone's vlog, he makes such pertinent points regards the mental side of pro sport, particularly rugby and particularly Bok rugby... very engaging and insightful listening...

A good watch. Seeing the last 2 tests from the AB's POV. Sort of a Chasing the Sun Lite...

Watched this earlier today, nice to get the AB perspective.

Post match the players were shaking hands, it was super intriguing to see Wallace and Siya do the Hongi. Maori handshake which entails touching of foreheads and noses. I love when our cultures overlap.

Can someone please explain how Marvel Coetzee gets a yellow but Sharks player gets a red for similar incidents?
Similar, but not same. In Coetzee's case he was low going in to the tackle (bent at the hip), and there was a sudden change in direction from the ball carrier. Venter on the other hand was always upright.
