Well, this team is the best, given what we have. A little light in the lock dept. but that can't be helped. Hoping Manie kicks better but lucky we have Pollard as cover. I think the boys will be angry and will want to prove a point. Bokke for the win.
 
They just wanted it to be a thriller SAT which its going to be and at least at reasonable time last weekend fcked up my sleeping patterns hahaha

Competition Rules​

Points will be awarded in all TRC matches on the following basis:

Win 4 points
Draw 2 points
Loss 0 points for loss of more than 7 points
Bonus 1 point for 3 tries or more than opponent
Bonus 1 point for loss within 7 points or less
 
Boks by about 10. Maybe 15.

I can't see Argentina not scoring a few tries of their own. Their attack is brilliant and if we think we can arrive and dictate terms withohut softening them first we'll be in for a rude awakening. They have also cleverly injected some fresh faces with 7s background into the team.

And I'm pretty sure they will at least try to win the tournament. Sort of feels like that time we had to score 4 tries and win against NZ in 2013 to win the comp. We reached the try tally but still lost the game.
 
We should convert to more conventional "Bok" rugby. Make the game tight and forward based. Once we softened them up, then we can be creative. Do that and I think we will win.

Running rugby will be exactly what Argentina wants us to play. We will get slaughtered.
They have a better backline than NZ and dare I say us too....
 
I do think we will win comfortably enough.

Don't discount a silly early red card or 2 quick fire tries to silence the crowd though.

Luckily they have a tall order in front of them. If they just held out for a win against Australia they would be on 17 points now and the picture would be entirely different. A draw would have been enough for them then.

EDIT: Not a draw but a win by 1 point.

I'll be very disappointed if we don't win by at least 15. I'm expecting by 20. But I'm hoping for 25-40. I want to see the argies properly smoked this afternoon.

Our defense needs to be ruthless. Gift them soft metres and it will be a looooooooong afternoon.

Anyway.

Off to the Park for the Ulster game followed by an afternoon at my local, for what promises to be a monumental day of rugby.

9am NZ v Australia
12.55 lions v Ulster
3.00pm Bulls Vs Edinburgh
5pm Boks v Argentina
8.35pm Connacht v Sharks

I'm in my fcking element!!

Bumper to bumber rugby and some overlapping urc matches too. There is cricket and League of Legends worlds esports. Crazy day.

Gallagher premier league and Top 14 too!!! It is INSANE!! Gloucester vs Bristol last night was a super entertaining fixture!! Loved it!!
