Since when do sports people get held to such standards...Two of the greatest players of all team slept around michael jordan and diego maradonna. And that's just the tip of the iceberg...

Springboks should not be playing the morality police.

If he did something illegal then no issue but trying to play morality police is very very slippery slope.

Elton should be drop for performances.

It's not so much that he wass was pomping on the sidelines. It's that he was pomping in the team and now it's got out and there is a crisis to manage. They need to go.
 
The official line out of the Bok camp is that while no laws were broken, these two have been sent home so as to not create distractions in this week's build up to what is a crucial match against Argentina.

That sort of unwanted news will hamper the Springboks preparation. The team doesn't need that. No individual is bigger than the team.
It's not some background staff members doing something. It's the second-in-line flyhalf and a prominent member of staff.
 
Elton is going from bad to worst. At best a a second choice pick for the Bokke, never really show his talent in the green.

First the drama on the plane and not this pomping in the team, not good publicity and a big distraction.

Nothing about morality...more about protecting the brand....management most probably got a heads up from the media, -and I am sure the story was already floating through in the team + hoping there was none of the usual salacious school boy conquest behavior....exchange of evidential pics,vids,videonotes to team mates.

What lead to the pomp(s) - can just imagine , end of the day... adults giving in to their sexual urges...now must deal with consequences... -
 
Real issue is Elton might drag other players down with him / start messing around with players wives / other staff. This is not an isolated incident more like a pattern and Elton is by no means the foundation of the team or a young guy that made some mistakes.

Are you then also proposing bongi be dropped from the squad. Surely the brand shouldn't have alimony dodgers in the squad...Pretty sure we can find skeletons in quite a few closets...

While this is true, we really needed Elton to be removed from the team, we should really thank her for changing his diet to snormossel.
