Well to be honest I expected a bit more from them. The way they were celebrating the 5 - 40 loss after that try pretty much sums it up. They expected to lose and was happy with the 5 points. They will end up at the very bottom.

That red card has removed some of the gloss from what has been a phenomenal game of rugby. Leinster has just been on another level this second half.

Proper hiding by Leinster there.

Sharks played good but a running Leinster team you just can't kick the ball to them man. They needed to lock it up in the front to stand a chance but decided to play right into Leinster's hand.

Glasgow keeps diving off their feet at the breakdown and Brace doesn't do anything.

I think officiating is something we will always complaint about.

That said the Bulls are absolutely nowhere. Glasgow is running circles around them.

WTF happened to the Bulls last night and aren't they coached by White? Their defense was hilarious.

This is why the Cheetahs are not in the URC. They were so bad and what was worse is the fact that they have spingboks playing for them.

Lost against a very very young Ireland team which hasn't really played together at all.

Piss poor to be honest.

It's not just the loss that is upsetting me is why are the Irish even in this tournament?

Now they won a bunch of cash prizes and then R250 000 cash prize and taking it back to Ireland. So much for developing rugby in ZA and we give the cash away.

Why couldn't other teams play like Sharks Emerging/U21 or what happened with all our smaller 1st Division teams? They would have liked a chance to get the hands on the R250k not a well funded Emerging Ireland team.

Maybe some URC relations story?

I believe the Cheetahs/Toyota invited them or it may have been requested by the IRFU since the Cheetahs are going into the ECC so would need some game time somewhere.

The Irish fans are soooo happy on social media. I think it was to be expected. An emerging national team vs 1st Division. I would have been concerned if they did lose.

That said how nice would it be to have something like an emerging nations cup every year. Only uncapped players allowed to play. Max 4 caps for your emerging team.

Yeah, it was a mix of Ireland 'A' and youth, as there were three fully capped players in the squad and some of those who played against the Maori All Blacks.

The Irish commentary I read from fans on the42.ie/rugby prior to and during their tour had people asking what's the point in exposing these players against lesser teams in the Republic. They argued it would have been better for them to be part of the URC squads.

We're doing something similar with the South African Select XV, the difference is we will be playing Munster and Bristol but even those teams may opt to rest their frontline players and also, we will see many of the select XV in full Bok colours against England.
