Law of averages, hopefully he'll find some kicking form against Scotland. Very worrying.

Plan B is fast tracking Pollard. Or maybe use Willemse and Kolby?

Last year in the 26-30 loss to France we kicked 7/7 and used 3 different kickers.
 
According to Rapport, Pollard is 100% fit and practicing. I wonder who is going to be "sacrificed" to make space for him as we surely need him.

Someone is getting 80 minutes against NZ on Friday.

Wonder if Pollard is eligible to play against NZ on Friday? Doubt they'd risk it but I don't think there's anything stopping them in terms of the rules? I might be wrong...

If a spot were to open up tomorrow, I don't see Pollard starting against Scotland. That would be a massive gamble!!

I could see him getting 40-60 minutes against both Romania and Tonga (either off the bench or starting) and maybe a start against Ireland. It will depend on where we are after the Scotland fixture.

That Scotland fixture is such a big one in the context of the pool. Romania are so weak, the result is almost a given. Tonga are a bit of a banana peel fixture but one you would expect the Boks B team to win relatively comfortably.

On a side note who would you rather we meet in the quarter finals? NZ or France? Talk about the proverbial rock and a hard place.

Can't see any reason why he wouldn't be eligible, it's a warm-up game. AFAIK the World Cup squads are anyway only finalised upon arrival in France. Can't see them risking him on Friday however.

Agreed that is very unlikely that he'll start against Scotland, Ireland maybe, depending on the pool situation at that time.

France/New Zeeland, difficult to say. Personally, I would rather face France, but it's by the smallest of margins. I think the home crowds and TV directors are going to place massive pressure on the refs this tournament. World Rugby will have to watch it with an eagle eye. Last thing we need is a cup decided on some dodgy decisions favoring the home side and anything against them just being ignored.

They hardly get any other cheer,but yes, for years now they seem more focused on thumping each other for the occasional ball win.
Marx and Kitsoff just want breathers after a good ball retrieval,see they getting more space.

The Pacific Islanders have made a habit of dragging us in to sloppy games. We should win, but it could be one of those wild affairs where we are on edge for 50/60 minutes before superior fitness/match conditioning carries us over the line.
 
Nice running game by the Boks on Saturday. Some great tries. Kolisi played a blinder. Kriel, (not my favourite), and Moody were top class. Forwards were great. PSDT with that intercept - what!! Set pieces and defense were good. Admittedly not the best Welsh team selected but you can only play what is in front of you. Only bad things were our annoying habit of giving away a string of penalties at times and Manie's kicking woes. I really hope he finds his groove soon as it could be tickets for us in a close game. But, for now - an awesome win!

It depends on the reason for the celebration IMO

Scrum penalty, awesome work by the forwards
Malcolm or Kitshoff ruck turnover, awesome work

Owen Farrell celebrating getting away with a shoulder charge and not conceding a penalty, gfyysmspn
