So you're not going to read 22.1.b?You need to start understanding the basics of language and these rules.
There is a huge difference between how a try MUST be scored and CAN be scored.
It is really quite simple and clear.
And whatever you feel you need to post now to try and vindicate yourself...don't bother. I am correct...and done with this silly little argument.
Yup, changes being brought in or trialed at this year's RC.What was the reason for us not being allowed to convert our try? Time?
Interesting.
There were AB management staff walking towards the kicker. They were trying to protest the try to the ref who was standing along side Sasha. Kick should have been retaken. Can't advance towards a kicker. What was the reason for us not being allowed to convert our try? Time?
So one thing I’ve found interesting is that ABs conceded 14 points in the 5 minutes - which is probably some sort of record against them?We were very lucky to win this game. We made a lot of handling and enforcer errors. Marx missing his jumpers by some distance is not a sight I'm used to seeing.
When reading the rules properly, Bongi's try is legit. Us older Ballies might find it "strange" as that's not how we were taught, but the game has evolved a lot. Their 1st try deserved more scrutiny as the one prop was in front of the jumper when he came down.
Anyway, congrats to the Bokke. An :ugly" win is still better than a "pretty" loss. Hopefully we can bag the win in Cape Town this coming weekend to basically guarantee the tournament win.
90s for a conversion and 60s for a penalty is more than enough time. Sasha's was an exception due to the mess on field at that stage. Ref should've aloud the kick to be takenThese new rules for kickers are putting the kickers under way too much pressure, and can influence a game too much.
They need to give them more time, or start the countdown from the time the ball is placed on the kicking tee, not before, it's just silly what they are doing.
Only 60s for a conversion, which is a bit too tight as it starts counting down when then try is scored and the kicker still needs to get the ball. Penalty clock only starts when kicker informs the ref he is going for posts.90s for a conversion and 60s for a penalty is more than enough time. The only ones that's negatively affected is Manie and Owen Farrel![]()
Ja, forgot about the 2024 adjustment to the conversionOnly 60s for a conversion, which is a bit too tight as it starts counting down when then try is scored and the kicker still needs to get the ball. Penalty clock only starts when kicker informs the ref he is going for posts.
All our grounds make for a superb experience. I've been privileged to watch tests at Newlands (now dead), Loftus, Ellis Park and Mbombela and they were all fantastic. If I had to single one out it would probably be the Mbombela test against the ABsWhat can you say about how electric Ellis Park was on Saturday.
I can say without a doubt there is nothing that compares to Ellis Park in SA.
It is a special place.
