Team only getting announced on Thursday and not today as is usually the case. No doubt keeping Borthwick guessing.

Most likely that, or Rassie has a couple of injuries to ponder? Although the rule is, if you not fit to train Monday, you not considered for selection... Me personally, I would keeping an eye on the weather. My team selections would be based, to a small degree (no pun intended), on the weather.
I'm desperate for a dry test...

Although I also want a dry test, I think wet conditions would benefit us more than England. They rely on Marcus Smith as their playmaker and if he is nullified in less than ideal conditions, I don't believe they have the power up front to match us if the game has to revert to a forward orientated slug fest.
This was evident in last year's RWC semi final. We tried to play around Manie Libbok in terrible conditions and it didn't work. Once Handre Pollard came on and we reverted to 'old school' tactics, England couldn't live with us.
Things like this, is the reason why I do a little dance of joy everytime a Northern hemisphere team loses, yes I know this guy is a number one shitstirrer but still.

What a clown and dumb remark from Stephen Jones! Why would it be arrogant to introduce your top rugby players into the match? That shows me that Rassie respected the Scots and brought on quality players. That is a proper team. Don't mind seeing Manie there. If it's dry, he'll be a factor. And if he's battling, then Pollard can come on and steady the ship.

Jack van Poortvliet also back in the team. Surely not a coincidence that they both started against SA in the RWC semi final last year. Wonder if England plan on reverting to that template that nearly worked that evening.
