Well done to Leinster on playing a brilliant game. You are worthy champions. They did not allow the Bulls any momentum and also dictated the scrums, lineouts and mauls. Nienaber's defensive system was top class and shut the Bull's attack down time and again. At the post match "post mortem" I felt for Jake and agreed with what he said - You can't expect a SA team to compete with the budget and player quality that Leinster and the top French sides have.

It was a very disappointing final overall. Just the quality of the challenge put up by the Bulls was below par.

They seemed to have arrived at the stadium, their fate predetermined. Whatever dominance they were hoping for in the scrums didn't materialize and their lineouts were wobbly at times. Bulls attack lacks creativity at the best of times and that was severely exposed by Jacques organized and structured defensive lines. You somehow need to do the unpredictable, vary your lines of attack, play unstructured at times, to try break a structured defensive line. Easier said than done.

Leinster are a beast of a side, no question. Stacked to the brim. What is even more impressive, other than RG and Jordie, the entire squad is home grown talent. Their academy program is without peer.

Some have construed Jakes post match comments belittling to his current squad/players. I don't. He is more lauding the brilliance of Leinster, than undermining his own pool of talent. I could totally relate with his frustrations re squad depth and quality and the disparity between that of his own and Leinster's.

Anyway, 3 out of 4 finals is a decent return. There many calling for his head despite their URC success. Maybe Jake and Plumtree can exchange jobs and we see how that works out?

B & I Lions start their campaign tonight against Argentina. 9pm kick off.
Can't wait for the Bokke to start their season next Saturday!!

See Sky Sports UK will even show it in 4K 50FPS. Very nice.

Los Pumas are up for it. Would be great if they secure a win here.
They played well and a great win for them.

They will definitely have my support in the Rugby Championship this year against the Boks.

@Speedster I'm calling on your once again unbiased and professional opinion on head contact / red card / bunker boys review system.

A few head on head contact by the Argies tonight, just penalties given, do you think that the last WC the refs / system might have been a bit over board dishing out reds and match bans?
