You somewhat have a point. People are not interested in the URC or lesser competitions especially if the teams are playing shít.

It's a mix of too much rugby to really follow the entire competition and DSTV being too expensive.

Just because people aren't as invested in watching URC/Champions/Challenge/Currie cup doesn't mean that it's any less popular on the playing side. Schoolboy rugby is probably more competitive than it's ever been.
