I'm sorry but are you taking the piss or do you not know how this competition will actually work?

Under the new structure, even-numbered years will be given over to the newly created Nations Championship, a 12-team competition featuring the Six Nations sides in one conference and the four SANZAAR nations plus two invited teams, likely Japan and Fiji, in the other. Played across the July and November Test windows, it will culminate in a grand final, leaving no room for a full-scale Rugby Championship in those even numbered years.

That’s what I read here.
1st conference minnows.
2nd conference mini World Cup.
Then an exhibition match.

So RC replaced with 6 team event like the 6N and the 6N serves as the the one conference, winner playing basically rehashed RC with 6 teams instead of 4?

If so, the Southern Hemisphere is somewhat fekked by comparison with the travel requirements, with South Africa and Argentina especially fekked with Aus, Fiji, NZ and Japan are pretty much sharing/or close to sharing time zones by comparison with eachother similiar to 6N?

Yeah, it would make sense to just host each conference in one country

What a bloody awesome game of rugby that was on Saturday!! Biggest ever win by the Boks over NZ, and biggest loss suffered by NZ on home soil. Freedom Cup retained and back to number 1 on the rankings.
Every player stood up and delivered a master class. Supremely proud of the team!

Amazing how mediocre the first half was though, handling errors etc. Only leading thanks to a Kolbe intercept.

The injury to Fassi and the resulting shift required to backline positions right at the end of the 1st half was utterly mad. Much to ponder, match stats tell such a story.

The media/pundits going on about Willemse's performance is hilarious and quite comical tbf.

Yes, he was certainly a factor in that 2nd half demolition, no question, but this hype about our best 'centre' is a joke considering his impact was at fullback with the 'destructive' centre pairing performance in question was actually Esterhuizen and Moodie.

Team of the weeks all over the place have the 12 listed as Willemse, when his standout performance was at Fullback.

How one-eyed can people be.

I read an article about 5 of the AB's heaviest defeats concerning points difference and were surprised to see that we are responsible for 3 of those 5 defeats. The other two are Australia and England.

Quietish rugby weekend ahead.
CC Final - Lions v Griquas, Sat. 3pm. Will watch, might be the only trophy my Lions lift for a while.
Ladies Rugby World Cup Semis tonight and tomorrow.
URC starts next weekend.
