Yeah, I thought the electoral system recommended by the commission was the best one - 200 PR MPs and 200 constituency MPs. ANC has done the bare minimum and it is likely unconstitutional. A real pity really - SA would be on par with serious countries like Germany etc.

Exactly. Mixed constituency/PR.

Throw in presidential elections and we're sorted.

Btw that was the majority decision. Motsoaledi went with the minority decision...

ANC is trying to rig the game.

And it is unconstitutional, so if they pull a "unity and renewal" and pass the damn thing, all hell will break loose. And it will go to ConCourt which could jeopardise 2024.

It's a given they will pass it, it's a given it will be challenged in court and found wanting.

2024 is going to be a shitshow of epic proportions for a variety of reasons.
