  • Members of the SA National Editors' Forum held a peaceful picket outside the KwaZulu-Natal High Court in Pietermaritzburg.
  • The group was approached by Zuma supporter Carl Niehaus, who attempted to tell them about the constitutionality around the former president's private prosecution.
  • But Sanef told him they were not concerned with his thoughts on the matter and turned their backs on him.

Well in the absence of @PrimeSteak, I shall do the by-elections today.

Ward 2 - Swellendam - marginal DA ward (obtained 49 percent of the vote in 2021) - key to hold onto the council as the current composition is DA - 6 seats, ANC - 4 seats

Ward 12 - Dannhauser municipality in KZN - ANC held with only 31 percent of the vote. Prime IFP pick-up opportunity.

Ward 8 - uBuhlebezwe municipality KZN - ANC with 74 percent of the vote. Safe ANC hold.

He was last week accused of having two identity numbers.
