Cassim does not get the "there is not much he can do" "you can't blame him" benefit for some reason.
There isn't much he or any successor of his can do. No matter who becomes Eskom CEO, as long as the ANC is in power, nothing will change (for the better anyway).

But by the way some were acting here, you'd think the oke is close to solving load shedding.

Sure, yes but let's not act like ADR was not given more sympathy for some reason from people who otherwise were very condescending to other Eskom CEOs and some who are condescending to Cassim.

Btw, you tend to exaggerate. Nobody has said Cassim is close to ending load-shedding or acted like it.

Of course Cassim has been doing a great job at Eskom, under very difficult circumstances, but nowhere did I say he has solved loadshedding.
And like many vouched for Andre on mybb, I can certainly vouch for my brother Cassim - he has been exceptionally patriotic, diligent, hard-working and extremely honest man, probably a shade more than Andre

Sure. But I ain't one of them. ADR failed due to many circumstances. Cassim will too. And the next oke. And the next oke.

Until either Eskom finally breaks or the ANC is finally deposed.

I didn't say so, I said:

Most important thing is that he was not number 27 on the list, that mistake will never ever be repeated.
