Why are they marching against the people they voted for?
Nick Hedley needs to speak to a professional about his white guilt problem.
I see Msimanga thinks he has some power to hold the DA powers to ransom, sometimes you have to wonder if this experiments are okay upstairs.![]()
DA race for leadership starts to take shape | City Press
With less than a month to go before the nomination process for the DA leadership closes, the race for the top position is gaining momentum, with members intensifying their lobbying.www.news24.com
The more the merrier I guess. Btw does anyone know how it works in their elections, is it simple first-past-the-post or is it a two-round system if there are more than two candidates?
Some interesting tidbits:
So the OG plan was to contest for DA GP Leader?
So is Gogo considering stepping down as DA SG and rather going for federal chairperson? Ok.
They're marching to have the muni dissolved (Enoch Mgjima). Essentially wanting fresh elections. Why are they marching against the people they voted for?
The way I see it he's asking for quid pro quo (is it ransom?).I see Msimanga thinks he has some power to hold the DA powers to ransom, sometimes you have to wonder if this experiments are okay upstairs.
Has he forgotten how they made his sexual assault charge disappear and even went a step further and chased his accuser out of the party? Or how they accommodated him after he failed as a Tshwane Mayor?
This guy must not get too cheeky, he has a good thing going, sit down and do the right thing, one day when they need to try another experiment in the party leadership they might consider him. Steenhuisen is going to win and there is nothing he can do about that.
All those people marching work for the muni? They're marching to have the muni dissolved (Enoch Mgjima). Essentially wanting fresh elections.
I still say in Ditso, the ANC dropped to sub-40%. And that muni was dissolved by the province, without protests or anything from the populace.
I have a feeling if this muni is dissolved and fresh elections are held, the ANC will be cruising for a bruising harder than in Ditso, seeing that it's the people of the muni who want it dissolved (it's the only demand of the protesters).
Maybe he doesn't realise it but he is in no position to bargain, there is nothing he can do that would prevent Steenhuisen from being re-elected, at most it would feel nice and legit for Steenhuisen to have an endorsement from him as a Gauteng leader, it will give the credibility of him being elected through popular support. The way I see it he's asking for quid pro quo (is it ransom?).
Basically "Help me to stay DA GP leader, and I'll endorse Johnno for you".
And I must be afraid of their threats? They can jolly well sod off and stop breathing.
Jammer om van sy k@k te hoor.![]()
Top cop removed from protection duties over Ramaphosa safety row - report | The Citizen
Ramaphosa's safety was allegedly compromised in two previous incidents.www.citizen.co.za
Lieutenant-General Samson Shitlabane, head of protection services for the president has been removed after two incidents that allegedly compromised President Cyril Ramaphosa’s safety.
According to a Sunday Times report, Shitlabane, who has since been transferred to another policing unit, is challenging his removal internally.
Ramaphosa’s security was allegedly first “compromised” during the African National Congress (ANC) Nasrec elective conference last year December.
Well, he does have the endorsement of NW, MP, NC, EC, and KZN leaders so far...Maybe he doesn't realise it but he is in no position to bargain, there is nothing he can do that would prevent Steenhuisen from being re-elected, at most it would feel nice and legit for Steenhuisen to have an endorsement from him as a Gauteng leader, it will give the credibility of him being elected through popular support.
Others who have thrown their weight behind Steenhuisen include North West leader Leon Basson, Northern Cape leader Harold McGluwa, Mpumalanga leader Jane Sithole and KwaZulu-Natal leader Francois Rodgers.
The party’s Eastern Cape leader, Nqaba Bhanga, is among those who believe that Steenhuisen is a formidable leader.
“He has done very well as the leader of the DA. John is still the suitable candidate to lead us to 2024. Yes, he has his limitations, but he has been able to stabilise the party. I do not think it is necessary to change the leadership,” said Bhanga.
Well, it seems Zille is thinking about running for DA SG again (that alone tells me there's a chance that she won't contest for it, but maybe the federal chairperson as I posted somewhere this morning).Let's stop pretending like this is going to be a nail biting, tough contest, John and Zille are going to come back, unless any one of them decides they've had enough and not contest for the positions.
Can anyone confirm if this is real?
