ANC Free State wins court interdict against Mangaung municipality
The African National Congress (ANC) in the Free State has welcomed the outcome of the Bloemfontein High Court which found that the election of Papi Mokoena as the executive mayor of Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality was unlawful.

I still think they should just dissolve the thing.

He won't dent the ANC or any party too badly. He is viewed as a loose cannon and does not have much respect among older ANC voters. The only big fans he has are the young women who have a crush on him (like the infamous DA volunteers who took selfies with him a few years ago) but those votes won't be enough to get him a seat in Parliament.

He is mistaking his father's support for his own, remember when he made a rally and struggled to speak in his father's language? Maybe old Zuma might campaign for him but judging by his record of campaigning for his ex wife I would say it won't help much for Dudu.

He can't use Zulu nationalism the way his Dad does. He attended Pretoria Boys in the 1990s and his close friends may well be Mike and Steve. Many on Mybb don't realize that.

He could get some voters from the ANC, but then he could also get some votes from the IFP, you will recall that the voters there are very fluid as far as their support for the ANC and IFP is concerned, they get very confused when they see one of their own in the ANC, competing at the highest position, add the extreme illiteracy they might truly believe that wee Zuma is going to be President because his father was President.

Business partners and friends are not always the same. His relationships with the Guptas are to a large extent based on business and while they probably are friendly, that does not mean that they are friends.

Just as most are friendly with co-workers and sometimes we can even go for drinks with them but that does not always mean that they are our friends.
