I noticed. Because his mere existence and achievements in uMngeni, tear apart the ANC's cosy little narratives.

And of course, he (and many other Moonshot govs in the province) then threatens their "time-to-eat" subscriptions...
 
Not too much of a loss, the residents can do with a change of scenery. While the internal roads were busy deteriorating the municipality went and dug a very well maintained road for no good reason other than showing off because it's the biggest main road leading into the town.

He lasted quite long anyway. A year and a half.

Oh well... Couldn't be helped. Council setup is similar to EKH. Coalitions can't be formed without EFF or ANC buy-in...

At least EKH and Mogale can enjoy the fruits of Doomsday I guess...

Not like there was anything special being done by the DA coalition in both municipalities, the people there will survive.
 
I don't know if the DA and their supporters are capable of learning anything but if they were, it has now been a full two years and couple months of going in and out of government in many of the municipalities they got in 2021 with absolutely nothing to show for it, except that disaster in Tshwane.

Advise, stop all the nonsense of trying to form futile coalitions against the Liberation Movement, they won't survive, you just don't have the numbers, governing at the mercy of the EFF whether you are in or out of the coalition does not work. Before you know it, it will be local elections again and you are going to look back and realise just what a waste of time it was.

Sit down on the table and talk, cut off the EFF and agree on sharing the municipalities, each can govern their own municipalities in a stable environment with a chance of success, if the DA are as good as they claim to be they will be able to govern better and their municipalities will be vastly different to the ANC's.

But no one listens to me anyway, so keep on doing what you are doing.

You truly believe the ANC won't try and undermine the DA's "share" of the munis in that scenario, just good vibes? Don't you think the DA would then also be smeared with the rep the ANC has in those munis? This whole "you take a muni, I take a muni" idea of yours is cockamamy to say the least...

And you and I both know, that if the DA were to just jump into bed with ANC for no real good reason, they'd be screwed and they'd get game ended (which I know you'd love to see)...

Also, it's not like the DA went and begged EFF to vote for them in councils last year? Neither could they go and scream at EFF, "NO DON'T VOTE FOR US, PUT YOUR HANDS DOWNNN!!!!" either...
